This was a very good hotel for the money we spent.
The free bar from 4.30-10.30 pm is a big selling point. Most normal drinks are included: beer, wine, vodka, gin (gordon's on request), scotch & baileys. When you get free drinks they come in plastic glasses. But if you are nice to the bar staff & tip them they will give you a proper glass on request. Considering we were getting the drinks free this was hardly a big problem for us.
The food was grand. I won't say it was the best I've ever had, but there was a salad bar, a pasta or soup course & a meat course followed by dessert. So even if there was one of the courses we weren't keen on, we still had plenty to eat.
There was a vegetarian in our group & the hotel catered for his meal requirements; sometimes it was better than others - but again the multiple courses meant it was not a big issue. They did not change the table cloths all week which was a bit strange, especially considering how clean the rooms were.
The packed lunch was a bottle of water, small orange, salami roll & bar of chocolate. The roll was dry, but we buttered the roll & added cheese at breakfast.
The rooms were ski hotel rooms. They were small enough. We were in a double room & I didn't think it was too bad. The bathroom was quite big - there is no bath, but there is a free jacuzzi, sauna & steam-room in the hotel for tired muscles.
Friends were in a triple room & it was the same size as our room (but with 3 beds), so it was cozy.
Other friends were in a head to head room & it was a bit smaller than ours.
The rooms were really clean. The houskeeping staff were brilliant (some of our friends said they even folded the clothes they had left lying).
Location: it was at the bottom of the town. You could walk up to the other bars in about 5 minutes. There is a bus to the main chair lift - sportinia every half an hour or so. But beware the timetable is for indication purposes only.
Skiing: there was a range of skiing abilities in our group (but no beginners) & there was plenty of scope for skiing all week for everyone.
