“Great hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2011

Pros: We stayed at the hotel for the first week of February 2011. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My wife got an injury while skiing, and they took us to the First Aid. Unfortunately we had to go to the hospital, and the hotel staff took care of our children, and brought a meal to our room since we were late for the dinner. The breakfast was excellent, and the dinner was good (3 choices for the first and the second courses + desserts). When our younger daughter didn't like something they always offered another dish.
Cons: To get to the ski lift you must go 100m up the hill, which we did every morning (one could also use the free ski-bus that stops just in front of the hotel), the beds were not very comfortable, but ok.

“A wonderful ski trip in sauze”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 January 2011

Thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Hotel Debili . The hotel was really friendly and we were made to feel welcome from when we first arrived . Lory especially was a great help with advice about the resort and her english is very good . We loved the atmosphere in the main lounge and spent some quality time in the bar as well!! The food was very authentic Italian and they catered for my friends vegetarian diet with a wide variety of meals available

“great service!”

Five of my friends and myself stayed for one week at the hotel as part of an holiday package and I've really appreciated my stay! First the service was absolutely great with a special mention to Lore Dana! She's very professional and always has this nice smile on her face, devoted more than commonly known to individually help and to serve from the first day she welcomed us to the last breakfast. She surprised us by preparing special meals when something in the menu did not really fit. In other terms, she really contributed to make our stay really comfortable! the rest of the staff just made their work. Nothing more. The cleaner worked like a robot: no break at all and working fast.
The Pros of the hotel: great location (just cross the street and you get to the most famous place for Apres-Ski, the Paddy Irish pub. some pics of the pub here: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=10912990&id=561275430&op=9&view=all&subj=56355911222&aid=-1&oid=56355911222) and next to the pub a nice supermarket, a few other pubs and a nice patisserie a few meters down the street where I recommend hot chocolate or bombardino, a great local drink (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bombardino). Food was correct and sometimes good except the coffee (warm coffee). Wifi is available and relatively fast.
The cons of the hotel: The room is a bit cozy, the TV is a very old and the screen is so tiny. Only italian public channels are broadcasted except CNN. The beds are too narrow and not really comfortable, but we get used after long skiing days. No spas
Tips: I recommend to let your skis and boots on the ski deposit next to the lift for 30 euros for the whole week. This will allow you a real ski in ski out option.

We stayed for a week, The hotel is cozy and very well located in town. A supermarket and some pubs are few meters a way. The breakfast and dinner were very good (much better than we expected). The service was excellent and helpful. The room was basic and cozy.
The ski lift is about 150 meters up (!) but it is possibe to use a free bus.
We enjoyed our stay !

“Simple & Nice. But not more...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2010

We stayed in the hotel (4 friends) in Jan 2010 for 7 nights.
In the hotel there were only 12 guests in total. Quite empty - well that is usually expected for the second week of January.

We had two rooms on the first floor. One double bedded and one larger with triple beds. Both rooms had balconies with a view to the next ugly building..

The rooms have minimal comfort but seem recently renovated.
Small TV (my iPhone has a larger screen), phone line, radio, two chairs, safe. No Wi-Fi.

Bathroom is compact but sufficient. The baths are a bit small and not ideal if you want to relax after a day’s skiing (unless you're a less than 1.5 meters high).

Rooms are cleaned properly and towels are changed (though not the most fluffy type).

Ski room is at the basement which is a bit small and crowed when everyone wants to hit the slopes (one 2 meter wooden bench). The lights turns off automatically after a few minutes - telling you to get out/in quickly.
To get to the neared chairlift you have to walk some 100 meters UP the road (in the snow slush) to Clotes or take the orange bus that takes you to Sportinia lift (5 minutes). Not exactly ski in/out but it's exactly what we expected.
Returning after skiing is usually easier - 50 meters down the road from Clotes and you're in the ski room.

The dining room is very simple.
Breakfast was ok - Orange juice, croissant, bread, cheese, jambon, coffee (Nescafe machine) cereals, marmalades. We sometimes asked for eggs/omelets and received the eggs in a different format from what we order. Didn't matter as long it was served with a smile.

Service of the staff was ok.

Dinner on the other hand wasn't good. We didn't expect a gourmet restaurant but after a few dinners, we preferred to eat outside in other restaurants in the village. It was a bit disappointing that they couldn't offer proper dinner for 12 guests?

The other common areas of the hotel (living room, bar) where comfortable but very simple.

If you're not looking for luxury or high standards it will be fine for you.
Around the hotel, lots of nice bars, pubs, shops, supermarket. The hotel is well placed in the village center.
