We spent a most enjoyable and relaxing ten days at this comfortable modern family-run hotel which overlooks the Adriatic near the ancient coastal town of Rodi Garganico. Our room was tastefully furnished, well equipped and had a wonderful balcony; from which we experienced glorious sunsets over the distant Tremiti islands.
The recently added swimming pool is a great asset, so much so that we didn't get round to taking a trip in the hotel bus to the nearby private beach.
Breakfasts were adequate - fairly typical of such Italian hotels. After sampling dinner on the first night, we took up the option of half board; which was great value with the added benefit of not having to drive to a restaurant. Dinners were three courses with a choice of two pasta dishes and two main courses; one of which was always fish - usually grilled whole on the barbeque, excellent! Desserts were typically fruit, semifreddo, etc. Everthing was local, fresh, simply prepared, very Italian and enjoyable.
The hotel is run by Angela and Franco. Angela's English is certainly good enough to enable easy booking and day to day communication with sad non-italian speakers such as us. Angela arranged bike hire for me to explore the senic surroundings. Franco organised a big screen for the World Cup final - which we watched amongst Italians whilst eating our dinner - great fun and very memorable!
All-in-all we would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone who loves all things italian; including holidaying amongst iItalians!
