I have just returned from a week in Riva in Lake Garda. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment self catering. I was very impressed. It was very clean and spacious with a double bedroom, a large living area with pull out sofa bed ,a fully equiped kitchen and large bathroom. We had a lovely view over the mountains and over the rest of the town. You are about a 5 min walk from the centre of Riva so it is lovely and quiet and you are still near to all the shops and restaurants etc..I would def recommend a stay in englovacanze. It is not plush by any means but for cleanliness, value for money, space and location if gets the thumbs up from me!
Only a couple of word of warning, as this is a converted residence apparantly not all rooms are the same so I cannot vouch for the size of the rest of the rooms/apartments.
Also there is a steep enough hill leading to the entrance. It didn't bother us but it would not be suitable for people with walking difficulties.
Also if you are staying self catering you may need to bring some towels of your own if you are staying longer then 1 week. They will supply towels but don't change them for the duration of your stay. (this only applies to self catering, not the hotel rooms)
None of that would put me off going back though. Just thought I should mention it!
