Hotel Vittoria was fine: AC, elevator, good breakfast. The only problem was "finding"it. We took the bus from Rovereto to Riva del Garda and walked up Viale Dante to number 39, Hotel Vittoria (also a restaurant). But it was locked. So we sat down to rest at the outdoor tables. A few minutes later the door opened and the lady said she "saw us through the window." Turns out this entrance is closed between 2:00 p.m and 5:00 p.m. So you have to walk around the block to Vittoria's entrance on Viale Discipline 18, directly behind. No mention of this was made in our e-mail exchange when making the reservation. So if you get there between 2 and 5, go to Viale Discipline 18 instead of Viale Dante 39. This may seem like a minor issue, but after a day of trains and busses, in heat and humidity, and you don't know why the hotel is locked, it is annoying. The hotel is about 3 blocks from the waterfront and the ferries.
