Me and my girlfriend went here as a couple so it will be reviewed as a couples experience, Staff were friendly and spoke plenty of english. room was cleaned every day by the maids. pool is a good size. There is a hot tub, football/ volleyball pitch and seemed plenty to do for kids of all ages (kids club etc). nice drinks at the bar, nice views of the mountians and the town. only 5 minute walk to lake. very nice location. The food was what u expect from a 3 star hotel, decent. breakfast was ok and there was plently of choice. The hotel was quiet the first week we stayed sometimes we had the pool to ourselves, the second week there was alot of children at the pool which sometimes became quite irritating. mini bar is far too tempting, however is reasonably priced, used the fridge for all my beer bought from the co op as its alot cheaper, just make sure if u do this u dont get caught as the hotel does state a charge for personal usage. if u stay here u must go to LA COLUMBERA its a reastraunt just up the road (oppisite way to the lake) fantastic restraunt. My stay here was fantastic, some things not so perfect but noting bad.

riva is not far away about 20 mins. lake shore 5 mins. sunbathe, swim in the lake, wind surf, get a pedalow plenty to do

We're just back from beautiful Lake Garda staying at the Ambassador Hotel and what a hotel..Firstly i must say the staff here were fantastic,so friendly and nice they couldn't do enough to make our stay so perfect.The hotel is so relaxed and very central to everything. food in the hotel is lovely and a drink or two to wash it down is just what the doctor ordered.
You can relax by the generous size pool or hire a bike to take in the amazing views of the lake.We were very sad to say "Arrivederci" to the Ambassador Hotel and beautiful Lake Garda and it didn't break the bank either...value for money here....We will be back to stay at this hotel again,why not try it and make your own mind up? we did and loved every minute of it!

Stayed self catering and the apartment was really spacious and bright with huge floor to ceiling windows. Great bathroom. Very impressed.

Clean & comfortable hotel. Good selection at breakfast. Most other visitors appeared to be English with tour operator, mountain-biking Germans/Austrians and coach parties. The latter two groups meant it was quiet in the day with plenty of room by the pool (mostly had it to ourselves!).
It's about a 25 minute walk from downtown Riva but only 5 from the lakeside, so it's a pleasant walk to town. In the other direction, there's about a 40 minute walk to Tolbore, which catches the evening sun.
Hotel is fine overall but, with our room package at least (went with First Choice), any extras are charged (internet, air con, pool towels, lounger mats, etc) - just be wary. Be wary of leaving cigarettes or small items of low value in the room too - the packet had a tendency to lose cigarettes mysteriously!
