I heard about the Belvedere through a friend and went Site-unseen. I was very impressed. Located south of Rimini on Italy's Adriatic coast it is a beautiful seaside resort town which was conspicuously sparsely populated in the beach off season. It was the perfect time for cycling, though. The hotel caters to cycling enthusiasts of all skill levels from all over the world. The activities foster a mixing of guests and a comeraderie that sets the stage for a fun-filled week. You can bring your own bike or, as most of us did, rent from the Belvedere's stock of high quality De Rosa road bikes. Rental was a very reasonable 220 Euro for the week. Buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner is all part of the deal. Highly skilled Italian cycling guides take groups out on daily tours divided into 4 levels of difficulty that can easily match the most demanding cyclist. The guides take pictures along the way of all the guests and they are provided at the end of the week on a CD. The area has some of the the most beautiful vistas in the world. Take a dip in the Mediterranean if you like but don't miss the pool party.

Room tip: Ask for a room on an upper floor with a view of the sea

In the shoulder seasons, the Belvedere converts from a beach hotel to a bike hotel. Last we we returned there for a week of cycling as we passed through Italy, and it was as fantastic as the first time. Everything is top-notch: the rental bikes are top-of-the-line carbon De Rosas, the rooms are quiet and comfortable, the spa is professional, and the food... awesome. The hotel specializes in regional cooking; one night during dinner, one of the owner's family was hand-making pasta, rolling it out, and cutting it into tagliatelle, and then cooking it with mushrooms as the diners arrived - and Marina, the owner, was on hand to grate fresh truffles. We'll be back soon.

Room tip: Book early to get ANY room.

After reading all the great reviews your expectations are high and you wonder, "can it possibly be as great as they say?" Well, yes it can, and yes it is! Marina and her staff welcome you to the Belvedere and treat you like part of an extended family. They go above and beyond all expectations...even after reading all the great reviews we were still blown away.

It was the first time we had been on a bike holiday and we were thinking we would probably bike for 3 or 4 days and then do some sightseeing, but we were having so much fun we biked 5 days and opted for the bus ride to San Marino on the other day. We were part of a group of 12, all of varying abilities, but everyone had nothing but praise for the guides and the various routes. The ride to Marina's country house and the BBQ was a special day in a week of special days! And the food at the hotel was both delicious and plentiful. Thank goodness we were able to burn those calories on the road.

Marina and her staff have given us so many wonderful memories that we will carry with us for the rest of our lives.

Looking for a cycling hotel? then look no further then the Belvedere in Riccione,Paul and I have just returned from the most fantastic 2 weeks holiday we have ever had. Marina and her staff treat you more like friends then guests nothing and I mean nothing is too much for them,, their whole aim is to ensure that each and every guest has the best holiday. The food is amazing, carefully prepared, full of taste well presented and plentiful. The Hotel is very clean and decorated to a very high standard, the rooms are so comfortable. For me,. being a non cyclist there was still plenty for me to do with trips arranged and if I wanted to go or do something that was not on the list I only had to ask and it would be arranged. Marina also arranges a BBQ at her country home so that the non cyclists can meet up with the cyclists for lunch. Paul loved every moment of the cycling, being taken on scenic tours and experiencing rides he has never experienced before. The tour guides are the best cycling guides ever, keeping you safe and ensuring that each ride was what you wanted and more. ALL OF THE HOTEL STAFF WERE FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL NO MATTER WHAT THEY WERE DOING NOTHING WAS TO MUCH TROUBLE FOR ANYONE OF THEM. We was there for 2 pool parties, both were fun and very enjoyable and it was great to see the staff enjoying the party but still attentive to the guests needs. Marina and all her staff are friendly and warm so if you are going on a cycling holiday then forget the rest cause the Belverdere is simply the best. Paul and I are already planning our next trip there, the only difference being next time I too will be going on the cycling tours to see what I missed this time, so come on and join us, see you there.

Room tip: all the rooms are well appointed and comfortable, what ever room you chose you will not be dissappointed

We just returned from our first bike holiday at the Belvedere. We had high expectations, having heard from others who'd raved about it - and those expectations were exceeded! The hotel is beautiful, staff are amazing, food is divine - also great to be able to jump in the sea after a hard ride. We felt welcomed and pampered from the moment we were picked up at the Rimini airport. The rides accommodated many levels of cyclists; after the first day or two of riding to it became clear which group was the most suitable - the guides are professional and take care of everyone. (We were a bit surprised, though, that they didn't carry tool kits for emergencies - they had cell phones instead!) The special events including lunch at Marina's villa were a bonus and always fun. We will be back!
