The hotel was very clean, good service and kind staff.
Close to the Theatre and the city centre, 2-3 minutes walking distence.
Mercure Astoria worths more than a 4 star hotel.
Large and comfortable rooms with large bathroom. Only the shower is small.
Will recommend it especially for bussines trips.

Everything was first class,staff most helpful and would stay there again if I come back again.All food places were very good,only thing I would like to see is a kettle in the rooms,but that would be my only thing.

The hotel is in a lovely situation, on the edge of the Park, and very close to the historic centre of Reggio Emilia. We stayed in a 'Superior' room, on the corner of the top floor. The room was clean, bright and spacious, but the decor is rather 'dated'. The bathroom was adequate, but the shower is over the bath, with no means of preventing water from getting all over the floor.
We had an excellent evening meal in the restaurant, and charged the meal to our room. No breakdown of the cost of meal was available at the time of checkout, and the Superior room did not have the bathrobe and slippers that are specified as part of the deal.
The Restaurant, reception area are all much more 'grand' than the bedrooms and bathrooms, but, on the other hand, this hotel is not charging premium rates.

This hotel represents good value and is located on a great park in the centre of the town. The hotel itself is average, really in need of renovation. However the staff were professional and helpful. A/C did not work so room quite stuffy, this seems to be a theme in Italian hotels.
