“Great Value, Great Service!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

We couldn't complain about customer service at this hotel. We had actually booked another hotel but when we got there the hotel no longer existed. A family member who lives in Ragusa suggested this hotel. We walked in without a booking and they were happy to help us. We were there for 3 nights and it cost EUR68 per night which included breakfast. We also made use of their parking facility for EUR8 per day (however there is on street parking if you can get a park, which they informed us of on check in)

The room was fairly spacious and clean. Though may need a little renovating as the decor is a little dated and the bed was a little hard. We had a beautiful view of the town too. The bathroom was really clean and nice. The only issue was that we were given a room with a Jacuzzi instead of a shower and it wasn't really practical for us.

Location is great. It's situated right in the centre of town, surrounded by shops and restaurants. The old town is about a 30 minute walk away but be warned you'll be walking back up a really steep hill.

“Average hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2012

Nothing bad but nothing outstanding room is clean and ggod size, staff friendly enough possibility to put car in a garage for 8 euros. Well located if you want to visit the other more interesting towns around in that area.

“Value for money”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 November 2011

First a heads up: as of November 4th 2011, this is no longer a Best Western hotel, although the branding is still everywhere!

We stayed here for 1 night, paid 62€. And we got what we paid for. Room smelled like it had not seen an open windows in months, bathroom was hastely cleaned. Room itself was spacious, but outdated style. Bed was comfortable.

Breakfast was included, and is served on the first floor: all the basics are there, again don't expect too much.

Would we stay here again? Probably not, would pay more for something better, but if you are on a budget then I would recommend it.

“Hot weather, air conditioning not switched on”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 September 2011

Arrived here early Sunday evening for a one night stay. Sole receptionist not very welcoming or accommodating, and when we got to our room we found it like a furnace, with windows having been closed all day with the hot Sicilian sun beating down on it. When we turned on the air conditioning it didn't work - receptionist then explained they hadn't put it on yet as it wasn't summer, and suggested opening the windows, which we had already done.
Went out for dinner in town - nothing open - so came back for a light snack in the hotel's bar next door, which wasn't too bad. Then back to the furnace, which still hadn't cooled down at all despite the windows being wide open all evening. We tried to sleep with the windows open but there was a loud party going on in the apartment opposite - obviously not the hotel's fault - so unable to get a good night's sleep.
The room was small and cramped and we couldn't find anywhere to put our luggage where we wouldn't trip over it, but the bathroom was lovely.
Breakfast next day was like a train station, absolutely crammed with guests and so noisy.
We were quite pleased to leave this hotel, so sorry I couldn't recommend it.

“Comfortable hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 February 2011

The hotel is located in the center of the new town. The old town is reachable in 35 minutes walking. The room was clean and quite big. Breakfast was rather good. Free internet wi-fi connection was available. The hotel has a private garage which is available but not for free. The staff was really kind and gave us all the information to spend our time at best.
