I stayed here for two nights with my wife and friends in October 2010. This is a large new built complex with swimming pool, showers and dining area, but not a lot else. Our room was spacious and in general the staff were very pleasant and helpful, though I did have a run in with the manager, but more on that later. Breakfast was continental and lunch was limited to simple food and sandwiches. I did not have an evening meal here but friends who did said it was good.
Our room was on the second floor and overlooked the pool. It had a fridge, safe, shower and large balcony. I gather that the complex also includes self catering apartments. Pula is a medium walk from here and provides a reasonable range of dining and a large supermarket. The coast is rather a longer walk but has some nice beaches and archaeological sites.
My only complaint was that our air conditioning packed up (I think the trip switch flipped) we had a very unpleasant hot night. There were no night staff who were able to help. The next morning I raised it with other guests at breakfast and found that other guests had suffered similar problems. I asked to see the manager and had a long, long argument with him in which he claimed that I should have complained when there were duty staff (before the failure) available before midnight! He then told me that in eight years no one else had complained. I then pointed out that I new for a fact that other guests had complained about the same problem and he started to back track. Eventually he offered me a £15 discount. I thought his attitude and approach was very unprofessional.
Apart from the air con failure the place provided a pleasant relaxing but rather boring stay. You need to get off site to enjoy exploring the town and the coast. I would recommend you carefully check your air con works every day as this seems to be a bit of an issue.
