“Just the Best”

We were greeted by a fantastic driver at Naples airport, who preceded to then take us along the winding road to the hotel, providing us with infomation about the region as we went. Brand new BMW 6 series allowed us to arrive in style and relaxed, after a not so relaxing flight from Madrid to Naples. The hotel has a jaw dropping position and nothing is left to chance. Even the smells that emenate throught property are fully intoxicating. Needless to say the facilites were all top notch, the pool (great tunes), the access to the private beach, the service, and the restaurant, who I may add, emply a fantastic, knowledgeable 'true' sommelier. Highlights were the food, location (Away from the baying hordes of Positano), beverages, the staff and the room - light and airy, with great amenities. Not only that, they dis-courage children in August! The web-site doesnt do it justcice. Worth every euro!

Praiano is a great spot if you want to relax, and experience a more genteel, local pace on the Amalfi.

“Service, Decor and View”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 November 2011

My wife and I spent our anniversary at Casa Angelina.

What we liked:
Service was exceptional. Whether in the bar, restaurant or lobby you want for nothing, the staff was always available.
The entire hotel is beautifully decorated. Paintings/prints provide color to the white hotel interior. Glass sculptures are unique. Fresh cut flowers. The lobby/main floor is actually a place you want to spend time - the hotel is beautiful.
We had a partial ocean view, which was fantastic. I don't think there is a room without a view. We had lovely views of the ocean and coast by day and mountain skyline and Positano at night.

What you might not like:
Casa Angelina is a bit remote. You'll have to drive to Positano or Amalfie. Praiano is small - minimal night life and shopping.
The restaurant is top notch, but a bit pricey. The service is almost overwhelming - very attentive - don't expect an intimate meal.
Really not much to dislike here.

Advice if you decide to stay here:
Check Travelocity when you book - they had available discounts where other travel sites showed full price or even no vacancy.
Don't drive here unless you know what to expect of Amalfie coast roads. And, don't attempt to navigate the Casa Angelina driveway. Let one of the hotel staff bring your car down and park.
The health club is compact, but nice. Be careful if you use the indoor lap pool. The floors are waxed wood and you'll likely slip (I did) getting out of this pool in bare feet.
Take advantage of the hotel drivers - they'll get you anywhere you want to go nearby.
Bring your camera. You'll want photos - both inside and out of Casa Angelina.

“Heaven on Earth!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 November 2011

This hotel is outstanding and attention is paid to every single detail. From the moment we arrived and were brought prosecco and miniature biscuits to our room, until the moment we left and were given homemade pasta as a gift; the staff were on hand to cater to our every whim. Yes, it comes at a cost, but it is worth every single penny!

Our room was lovely and I found the white decor relaxing and loved the L'Occitane amenities. The public areas are stunning with beautiful brightly coloured contemporary art contrasted against the white walls.

There is a glass lift that takes you half way down to the beach, cutting out a lot of the steep steps and if you travel in the other direction it takes you up to the restaurant and offers you fabulous views of the coast. Definitely the coolest lift I have ever travelled in!

I would recommend the restaurant, as unlike other reviewers, we did not find it a lot more expensive than the local restaurants. It provided the perfect setting for a romantic evening, with gorgeous food and faultless service.

The pool area is tranquil and we never had a problem finding loungers despite the hotel being full. Just lying there basking in the sun, you really feel like you have found heaven on Earth and Casa Angelina is ours!

“Design hotel on Amalfi coast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

It is very difficult to find on the Amalfi Coast a design hotel that is modern and fresh
Casa Angelina is probably the only one, it is really a super design place with an amazing service that i found only when i travel in Asia.
They welcome you with fresh drinks, like "sciroppo di mandorla".
The room was bid and very white, i loved it. We traveled with our 2 years old little girl, this is not a perfect place for small kids, in general this part of Italy is more for couple and not for small kids.
Despite that we had very nice time. The breakfast was for sure the most amazing breakfast i ever tried in a hotel (and we travel a lot!).
The restaurant is good but i would recommend to go somewhere else just because it is over prized for what you really get and in this area you eat wonderful everywhere.
We spent there 3 nights and always had to eat there because our daughter was sleeping in the rooms.
The menu was always the same, and if you do not book much more in advance you risk to eat on the worst table in the terrace, that is the one just next to the kitchen
The last night, I booked the table at 6.30 pm for 9 pm dinner, we arrived at the restaurant of the hotel and they gave us that terrible table. We complained and they said all the rest was booked, we asked to eat at the terrace of the bar since it was our last night and we want it special but they refused. My husband had really to push them and at the end they accommodate us at the bar, that was actually really nice.
The point is that when you spend every night over 500 euro for a dinner (we where we another couple), you expect a different reaction from the manager of restaurant.
Anyway, a part this I consider this hotel very nice. It is perfect for people who like small boutique hotel with style and design

Room Tip: Ask rooms with sea view and small terrace. Avoid the suites because are located 200 steps down to th...

“Wow!”

I've been lucky enough to stay at many stylish boutique hotels. But I think this may be the best yet. Casa Angelina is simply beautiful and incredibly relaxing. The location is astonishingly beautiful - when we arrived my girlfriend and I gazed out from our balcony over the sea and at the lovely little town of Positano built up the cliffs for ages, just marvelling at the beauty of it. Our room was also fantastic. Casa Angelina has clearly spent a lot of money to get the very best fittings and furniture - Bang & Olufsen TVs and phones, Phillipe Starck bath (which was lovely and deep), sink, toilet etc, lots of L'Occitane goodies etc. The room also had really good lighting and security. And the stark, whiteness of the entire space made it feel calming, fresh and even more spacious. There was even a single white rose in the room which was a nice touch. The food was great too - our breakfast was delicious, with freshly squeezed orange juice, real croissants (a rarity in Italy) and an endless choice of other top quality fresh food. But most of all Casa Angelina is incredibly tranquil, calming and relaxing. It feels like a spa retreat where all the staff are constantly thinking about how to make you feel even more relaxed. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by a smiling, softly spoken member of staff who gave us some cool water and a glass of refreshing almond milk. Then when we checked into our room, with wide smiles across our faces, we were brought cold glasses of champagne and nibbles. There were lots of other great things about the hotel, including a free limo service (in a top spec Audi A8) to take you to the nearby town of Positano. Every member of staff was fantastically friendly and helpful, and most of all they radiated calmness and tranqulity.

OK, I guess I've said enough about this wonderful hotel. In summary, it's an unmissable experience and I will definitely recommend it to anyone, and I hope to return some time.

Room Tip: We were in room 111 which was beautiful with a lovely balcony and sun loungers looking out to the se...
