We, my sister and cousin, loved our time at Le Sirene. The stay in the little bay at this simple B&B is something I will hold dearly in my memories.
The rooms are clean and simple, albeit a little dated but that was almost part of the charm.
Le Sirene has a marvellous position and is what I would consider budget priced, compared in particular to it's famous neighbour, the San Pietro hotel ,which is Amalfi's most revered luxury hotel.
We ate most days at Adolpho's next door - which was theatre in itself.
We stayed in Amalfi first at Villa Lara which was nice and we also stayed in Tuscany at an excellent and VERY HIGHLY RATED on Trip Advisor B&B, however this for us was the number 1 experience.
If you happen to be from WA it reminded us of a sexy, sassy version of Rottnest Island.
Water taxis can take you to and from Positano most hours ( well at least in my experience) saying that once we were in Positano we often couldn't wait to come back to our little pearl!
If there was any comments to be made....Le SIrene's water taxi starts it's run in the morning too late (9.45am) for the first of only two hydrofoils out of Positano. But a water taxi an be organised for between 10-20 Euro to Positano and their service is after all free. Also there is a palpable tension between the Adolfo and Le Sirene that I think guests pick up on.
If you are happy to relax in simple surrounds and soak up the sun, sup on great food and bob around in the warm ocean...then Le Sirene could be just for you.
Thank you Sonia for your elegant hospitality and being so gracious about my red wine spill!
