Pros:
This hotel is located in a fab location - the views from our balconcy were probably the best we had in our stay all over Italy. The walk into town (5 or so minutes) is also very pleasant.
The room was very nice also. The breakfast ( which we ordered on our balcony) was also nice - typical for Italy.

Cons:
The walls are paper thin. We could even hear the people in the next room talking. The WIFI is charged at 5euro/hr which is a litlle steep. Check-out was at 10.30 which we felt was a little early.

One note: Parking is charged at 20euro a day - however on the Alamlfi coast this is not unexpected. The car is brought away by a garage and returned when required.

We could not have been happier with this lovely accommodation. Room (superior room) beautifully clean and decorated tastefully, plenty of room. Bed - very comfortable, noise - no issue either from other rooms or adjoining restaurant and stairs (and I am a light sleeper), light - no problem - great shutters make the room very dark. Bathroom - fine. Linen and towels - top notch and serviced daily. Bags with beach towels was available if needed.

We found the family run business to be very friendly and helpful, Carmela, Niccolo, Enza and Giovanni were so friendly and helpful and Mighel (at night) was very happy to help us with our evening cup of tea. Breakfast was fine - buffet style so you were able to have as much or little as you wished. Fruit, yoghurt, pastries, cheese and meats, bread for toast etc.

We had room 11 and our travelling companions had room 10. The view was spectacular. When we arrived and checked in, we were so happy, just had to sit on the balcony with some wine and pinch ourselves.

Proximity to fine restaurants and store made it ideal location. We also loved the fact it was on the road, so no lugging cases up/down stairs.

We would not hesitate to stay here again and would recommend it to all.

We have just returned from our second stay at Palazzo Talamo and it was really lovely. This time we also brought my parents who also loved it. The staff are excellent - friendly, welcoming and professional.

It is a bit of a walk to the beach, but near most of the most popular restaurants. The rooms also have the most lovely view.

It is simple but elegant and very good value for money.

I have just returned home after spending a week in and around the Amalfi Coast, staying at the hotel Palazzo Talamo. I stayed with my new wife and we both absolutely loved it. Our room was a good size, very tidy and clean, the most incredible view and the staff were great too. The location is perfect. Don't expect flat roads, the place is on the side of a mountain! If you are looking for a base to explore the surrounding area, I would highly reccomend this place. Loved it. My only gripe is the breakfast, it didn't seem to get re-stocked very fast or at all at times.
