Hotel Marincanto is undoubtedly the best hotel in Positano. I traveled there with my family last June and we stayed at Marincanto for 2 nights. First and foremost, the staff was incredibly kind. Monica and Antonella were there for everything we ever needed, including great tips on sights, stores, and restaurants. The hotel was clean, and well-kept. We had the privilege of staying in an ocean-view room, and believe me, no hotel offers a truer ocean view than Marincanto. Waking up each morning and walking out to my balcony overlooking the Mediterranean is something that I'll never forget. The hotel's facilities are all excellent, including the infinity pool which also looks out to the sea. Perhaps the greatest memory I have of Marincanto is that when we did leave and moved on to Ravello (a nearby town), I left a book at the hotel. I called and at the drop of a hat, Monica had a taxi drive the book to me in Ravello at no charge. I don't believe a hotel has ever treated me so well. I traveled all over Italy for 4 months, but no destination came close to Positano and my stay at the Hotel Marincanto.

My husband and I were both 40 and decided to celebrate it going on hols. It was our first visit to Italy and loved it. We intended to move around the Amalfi coast but we were so pleased with the Marincanto we stayed for the week. It ticked every box we lazed we walk we took a motor bike for a day (not for the faint hearted) and the hotel looked after all our needs. From Rita at breakfast to the personal touch from the owner and all the staff who made it a very memorable holiday thank you. Will be back.

We stayed here june 2009 for our honeymoon, could not have been a nicer setting. veiw from our room & balcony was great. The veiws from the sun terrace were even better, just like looking at a postcard!

Breakfast was really good, big selection nice and fresh.

The room was very good decent size with a massive bathroom, which had a whirlpool bath overlooking the sea.

Good location, close too centre via steps and small hill, but not too close so its nice and quite.

Had a great stay would not hesitate to go back.

We had a lovely stay at the hotel in August 2011, the location is great as the walk to town isn't too far and views are amazing. Our room was huge great bathroom and a small balcony looking over the sea and town. All the staff were really friendly, service in the restaurant was excellent - we had breakfast every day and dinner one evening, both were very good. We didn't use the pool but it looked lovely. Car park is tiny but there is always someone around to get park and move your car if needed. Would love to go back to the hotel and Positano soon.
