“Absolutely Perfect!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 November 2010

After climbing the many steps up to this charming hotel, you will be greated by a very helpful Claudio, the villa's owner. The place is very unique and true to the area as well as clean and comfortable. We had a fabulous view of the amazing Amalfi coast and Claudio made sure we ate at the best restaurants and were comfortable at all times. Would highly recommend a stay at Villa Nettuno!

“Authentic and Awe-Inspiring”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 October 2010

Claudio was a complete Angel, helping guide me at every turn, each day I was there.

This spot is worth every step of stairs leading to it's unique location neslted among the lush vegetation. It offers spectacular harbour/hillside views from some of the most ideal real estate in the town, just far enough away from the tourist/trendy centre to feel like an oasis. The room was extremely large and austere, leaving me with the sense that this may have once been a religious residence. You'll have everything you need from a lil fridge to a small line to hang laundry on the patio, and it is very quiet, clean and peaceful.

“Amazing view over the Almalfi Coast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 October 2010

Amazing setting high up on the mountain with a 180 degree view.
Most friendly owner who gave us a lot of suggestions and ideas for sightseeing and how to get to Pompei.
Huge rooms
Sipping Prosecco on our balcony at sunset.
Discounts at certain restaurants if you present his business card and special rates for the parking garage.
No breakfast is served but their is a small supermarket to buy breads and juices for breakfast - to be enjoyed on the balcony.
Drop you bags first at the hotel before taking your car to the parking area, it is very steap.
We enjoyed our stay tremendiously

“Simple living at its best with perfect views over Positano”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 August 2010

If you want a simple, clean accommodation that is good value, then this is what you are looking for. Villa Nettuno is a B&B style accommodation, but with no breakfast included. However, each room is equipped with a bar fridge so you can easily accommodate yourself. I found the owner, Claudio, delightful, generous and very helpful and had many great conversations with him (he speaks very good english). The rooms are spacious and clean with an ensuite bathroom and private balcony overlooking the bay of Positano - the views are stunning! Although my room did not have airconditioning, and it was boiling hot in august, some of the rooms do and you can get a fan if you ask. The location is good, 10 mins to the centre of town and to both beaches with restaurants and shops at your fingertips. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would definitely go back next time.

“Amazing Views, Large Rooms, Simple and Clean”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 August 2010

If you don't mind climbing a few steps and want value for money then the Villa Nettuno is for you. We found this hotel on Trip Advisor and requested room #25 as advised and we were not disappointed. The rooms are large and airy and basic but have little balconies that overlook the most amazing view. The hotel itself is very basic but Claudio is sweet and very helpful. There are precisely 97 steps to climb to get up to the room but that is nothing really. Do not be peturbed when you get to the location and find a small unbecoming sign advertising the location of the hotel. It looks very nondescript and what's worse, as you climb the first two flights of stairs, it looks abandoned and you may get into a little panic. Keep going and all is well. Our room had a little fridge and we had a couple of nights on our balcony gazing at la bella luna and eating food we'd bought at the little shop down the road. Breakfasts are very, very basic but that's okay too. I loved the Villa Nettuno with all it's charm. There is a little shaded terrace you can have your brekkie on if you don't want to have it on your balcony which is bathed in sunshine and can get a tad sweltering even early! I will certainly stay there again as I enjoyed it's rustic charm and loved the large room.
