“Large room & Balcony, great Staff , perfect Location .. LOVED IT”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2012

Quite late in writing this review, stayed 3 nights here in April 2010 , booked a good last minute rate from the Hotels on website Euro 150.00.
Our room was light bright and spacious with amazing balcony complete with Potted Lemon and Olive Trees. The view just beautiful.
Great central location, we drove into Positano (slightly nervewracking) but the staff at Vila Rosa took our car and parked it in a central car park , most convenient.
There is no restaurant or Cafe within the hotel , Breakfast is delivered to each room , and set up nicely on the Balcony when the weather permits.
There are some nice and not so nice restaurants in Positano , The Hotel recommended Cafe Positano, withini walking distance has a nice Road side terrace , later found out they own this Restaurant.
Our Favourite Restaurant is right on the beach , called le Tre Sorelle. Family run fantastic Seafood .. we enjoyed a great Sunday Lunch on a rainy day , it was filled with Italian Families. great atmosphere.

“awesome view of Positano; should have written this sooner”

My room had a lovely, large terrace with a view of the city & the sea. With its location up on the hillside, the view is spectacular. It was really wonderful to sit on the terrace & see the sunset as well as the city view any time. The continental breakfast was basic but very tasty. The double room was clean & nicely decorated. Would stay there again any time.

Room Tip: get the sea view room!!!! (always my choice, if it's an option)

“Gem in beautiful Positano - huge balcony with amazing views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 December 2011

This hotel is lovely – romantic, clean, great staff, well appointed rooms with nice bedding and nice bathrooms, and an utterly amazing balcony (where they will serve your breakfast if you like) with totally amazing views. This hotel is fantastic really, absolutely nothing bad about it.

“Breathtaking Views with amazing staff/service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 December 2011

My wife, 5 year old and I stayed at Villa Rosa for 7 days at the fabulous villa at the end of June. This was after 9 days in Venice and Rome. Our stay in Positano and at Villa Rose was an absolute perfect way to end our visit to Italy.

The staff were all friendly, helpful and every day they went above and beyond in little ways. They treated my son like a king especially Stephania - amazing hostess. I'm sure the service reflects the vision of the owner as it shone thru.

Our villa was on the top floor, so quite a foot journey but the rooms and the terrace were so well worth it (check out the pics). No regrets whatsoever and have already referred some friends that will be staying in 2012.

The breakfasts were very relaxed and allowed us to take advantage of the large terrace and wonderful weather.
grazie mille!

Room Tip: Go for the top floor and don't be afraid of the steps.

“Very Satisfied!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 November 2011

We stayed three nights at Villa Rosa in September 2011 and loved the hotel. The best thing in our room beside the terrace was the shower. We had a large window to look out and also great water pressure. What better than to look out the window at Positano and the Med from the shower??
We rented a moto for one day and the front desk staff made it very easy for us. We had the moto for 24 hours and we rode to Amalfi and Ravello, which was our favorite place. Next time, we will stay a couple of nights up in Ravello.
We loved Villa Rosa but I wish they had better breakfast, three days of the same croissants and yogurts was a bit repetitive. That being said, they were excellent croissants and the cappucini that accompanied them was Rome-café-quality. We had an ocean view room and after leaving our terrace doors open the first night (beautiful night) we had to close everything because of the noise of recycling glass and the kitchen from the hotel across the street. I’m not sure if anything can be done about that since there is not a lot of space to do the recycling anywhere else. The staff at Villa Rosa was amazing. The gentleman that brought our breakfast every morning had a great smile. All their staff seems to be very happy there, which made us very happy as well.
In Positano, we did one beach day, one day wandering Positano itself and one day at Amalfi and Ravello.

All in all, a very nice place to stay.

An important note about Positano (and Capri). We did not have any previous arrangements for getting our luggage up to the hotels. Villa Rosa is a fine walk from the water, but when dragging suitcases? No. A porter service asked us on the pier about bringing our luggage up and we immediately said yes. Either make arrangements or use a porter for around 7 Euro per bag. This hotel is probably 300-400 feet above sea level.

Room Tip: Inquire about upper floors.
