Spectacular view. Small rooms. Older TV. Remote did not work. Should have invested more in the towels. Breakfast so so. Anything extra like omelette, prosciutto, needs extra money. Total 111 steps from the street to reach the hotel. First day took it easy. The young porter took two of our bags on his shoulder and ran up the stairs and left us ashamed of ourselves. I have been doing ellipticals since we returned. No wi fi in the room. However, if you have your laptop, wi fi is free at the lobby. Friendly staff. Will go back again.

My wife and I stayed at the Conca d'Oro Hotel for one night in early December 2011. Our room was upgraded on arrival, and we had an amazing view of the coastline and ocean from our balcony. We could have sat there all day admiring the view, had it not been for all the rain. The staff were very friendly, and there was a large range of foods available for breakfast (the breakfast room also has a stunning view).

Parking at the nearby parking station was 20 euro per day, and we had to climb quite a few steps to reach the hotel. But I think both are fairly typical in Positano, so don't let that discourage you from going to this hotel. The hotel is situated on the western edge of the township, so it's a bit of a walk into the centre of Positano.

Granted, the torrential rain had some impact on our arrival at the hotel. The seemingly endless steps from the road to the Hotel foyer became a waterfall while halfway up! The staff were ok but I would say they lacked enthusiasm (maybe it was the inclement weather??). The rooms had lovely views but request a bath if you need one.

We spent 6 days at this hotel. The room had a great view to the ocean. Everything was very clean and the maintenance of the whole place was perfect. The restaurant is very good and the "cameriere" were superb, nice and efficient. We really paid value for money. As a suggestion they should include more tv channels and a smal fridge in the rooms. We really recommend this hotel!
