“A great option”

The staff was lovely, and our room was very clean. We split our stay, so had two different rooms. The first was very spacious. The second....not so much. Ask to see a few if you can. EXCELLENT breakfast, and surprisingly good spread for apertivo (thanks Pasquale!) All things considered a good value for the money, and a great location (don't miss Spinnakers restaurant right across the way.)

“cosi hotel”

the hotel is not so big, but when you are inside you feel great and the size doesn't import anymore. It is very quiet.
You are not direct in Port Cervo, you need the car to arrive there, but to be honest, it is not a big problem, because you have also around nice places like Baja Sardinia, Palau, Porto Rotondo, the most famous beaches like Pevero.
The hotel's staff is very efficient and friendly and they are always for you there: attending your demands, asking questions, advising some nice areas or restaurants.
No problem to park a car, they have enough place.
I could return again.

“Good value for money hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 June 2011

We are just back from a 10 day trip in Sardinia where we stayed 3 nights in the Dolce Vita Hotel. We were a little bit disappointed as it was rated number 1 in Porto Cervo so i think we had very high expectations. This hotel is good value for money for the area as i believe the other hotels nearby are quite a bit more pricey. The hotel is pretty basic but clean and well kept. Breakfast is your usual contintental breakfast. The pool area is small, not really somewhere you would sit by the pool and sunbathe or swim - more somewhere you might sit for a pre dinner drink or morning cup of coffee. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the main town / marina of porto cervo (uphill). The first time we walked to Porto Cervo we walked down the main road which was incredibly dangerous as the roads are very bendy and there is no or little side walk. We asked reception if there was another way down and was told there was a safer way down - there are no signs to tell you this and I did not think that the hotel made it clear how to get to the town and we were told that a taxi would cost 20 euro! It would be great if the hotel had a shuttle bus as i believe a number of the other hotels close by offer shuttle buses to the town and the beaches. The closest beach is Piritza beach which is also about a 20 minute walk in the other direction of town. One of the main advantages of the hotel is that it is very close to one of the best restaurants that i have been to - Spinakers. If you go to Porto Cervo you must pay a visit to this restaurant, it has the most amazing food at a price to suit all depending on what you order. This restaurant is great for people watching as it attracts what seems like the whos who of the locals. One thing i would note is that the walls are fairly thin and i could hear doors opening and other people coming back from nights outs. We had a room with no balcony or patio area and there was a constant noise from the pool, sounded like the pool draining - i would recommend asking for a room with a balcony or patio. Overall i would say a good hotel if your just want somewhere as a base during your stay in Porto Cervo.

What’s a pity!!!
If we were informed about the noise in the room we would definitely made sure that this problem does not ruin their stay, it has been a pity!!!
We are really sorry for our guests but we don’t think it's too much expensive to pay 20.00 euros for a taxi, you are in Porto Cervo ...
On Google map is clearly stated our position respect to both sea and the center of Porto Cervo and in 20 minutes you walk to the beach 2 times, go and back. ...
We want to remind that the room with a balcony or terrace is the Superior Room, probably our guest has booked a Classic Room, equally beautiful but without private terrace.

“A brilliant time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 July 2010

Just recently returned from 6 nights at Dolce Vita. The hotel is spotless and beautifully decorated. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room was pool side, which I requested (so was lucky to get) based on a previous review. So when you come back from a hard day at the beach you can relax in the comfy chairs with a beer from the bar... The staff are very nice and helpful.
You need a car in Sardinia (the hotel has a car park) but just beside the hotel there are several great restaurants with delicious sea food and a great selection of local wines, plus two nice little bars for post dinner drinks.
The hotel is in a great location to visit a number of lovely beaches within a 15min drive.

“Good value for money at great location!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 July 2010

We had a really nice stay at this small hotel and were treated very kindly. Everything was great, apart from the beds that we found very hard, but with some blankets we managed to make them a little softer. Overall; good value for money. Especially as the Costa Smeralda is very expensive.

We can recommend making a boattrip! We did (with a private boat with friends) visit all the little islands, bays and harbours and found this the most beautiful way to see this part of Sardegna.

For beaches; there are plenty of beautiful, small bays & beaches, so this is truely heaven for anyone wanting a sun/beach holiday. We found finding culture a bit hard this side of Sardegna, but believe the other side and the south are totally different... the real Sardegna.
