We arrived at B&B Baia Scirocco in the late morning after running away from a dreadful accommodation, Antonella offered a coffee and made us welcome while the room floor dried up (we booked very last minute).
The room was well appointed and clean, with a handy small fridge to keep our beverages cool and plenty of space for our things, even though not overly spacious ... why would you want more inside room with that gorgeous terrace just outside your door, though...
Breakfast featured warm croissants, good bread and home made jams, plenty of home made goods (a different cake every morning and typical Apulian bisquits), orange juice and fruit and was served on the sunny terrace in front of the sea.
The terrace is the perfect place to unwind and relax and offers an outstanding view to the sea and endless quietness, but do consider that, due to the exposure, does not have any sun during the last hours of the afternoon (this is definitely a plus during the hottest months since the place gets nice and cool, ready for a good night sleep).
Antonella lives onsite (this is a real B&B) and is always nearby to offer advice on places to eat (do try the Trabucco and Osteria Pane e Vino, both amazing), and visit (drive to Vieste and down the coast and spend a day wondering around the Foresta Umbra) and to help out with any problem.
After a disappointing start of our holiday, Antonella helped us getting the best from the area.
A free wi-fi connection is available & Antonella just installed a brand new air conditioning system (hardly needed though due to the breeze and the exposure), we used for heating (the weather was still quite chilly) and it worked well.
The only small downturn is that it's a bit awkward to find (call and Antonella will guide you there) and to drive to (a few hundreds metres of steep and curvy road, but pretty deserted). It's well worth the effort though!
