I spent four nights at the Hotel Ariston. The facilities of the resort exceeded my expectations; I enjoyed the several outdoor pools, one indoor pool, and a fitness center. Wi-fi was free here, and available throughout the guest rooms and public areas. The extensive buffet breakfast was served daily in the main restaurant.
The Ariston's worst aspect would have to be its rooms. They are massive in size for any standard, some of the largest I've ever stayed in. There were two queen beds and a double vanity in the bathroom. These upsides, unfortunately, were offset by the poor quality of my room's interior. The lighting was terrible; I could barely read at night if I wasn't sitting right under the bedside lamp. The furnishings appeared very outdated and probably haven't been updated for several decades. Although the bathroom did include double sinks, it was repulsive to take a shower underneath a moldy ceiling. The harsh fluorescent lighting did little to help this situation.
Overall I think that the Ariston offers a wide variety of facilities typical at any resort, but be warned that you'll feel like you've stepped back into the 1970s during your stay at this gaudy hotel.
