“Home away from home !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2011

As soon as we arrived at the 'Meuble Evoe' we were greeted by Francesca, who made us feel at home immediatly. We were in an excellent 3 bedroomed room with a view over the main road and an impeccably clean ensuite. The room was as warm and cosy as can be and it included a large wardrobe, t.v. and a mini fridge.
As we had rented a car from Fiumicino, we were also supplied with a special permit to drive around the old town centre, and park just infront of the main door.
Breakfast was served at the 'Trattoria di Cagnano', just underneath our room, and it was exquisite, especially their 'cornetti', which were served warm and just out of the oven, the best 'cornetti' we ever tasted!
The 'Trattoria' made also excellent pizzas in their wood burning oven, they even had an 'a la carte' menu for lunches and dinners, and the six course 'Cenone di Capo D'anno' was something that one will remember for quite some time!
We left the place after 5 magnificent days and if we visit the area again in winter, we will return to the 'Meuble Evoe' as it felt like home away from home.

“A gem!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 November 2010

My partner and I were driving from Rome to Cinque Terre and decided to make Montepulciano our overnight stop. If you like medieval hill towns, Montepulciano will not disappoint! We pulled into town in the early evening and after stopping at one other hotel that had no vacancies, we were lucky enough to find Meublé Evoè. We were greeted by Francesca who was extremely pleasant and accommodating. The room was very well-appointed and large (by European standards) and the bathroom was clean and modern. The hotel is small (I believe there are only six rooms) but it is centrally located and has a wonderful restaurant, the Trattoria di Cagnano. We had an amazing Insalata Caprese and delicious homemade gnocchi. Both the hotel and restaurant have very reasonable prices. We would definitely go back there!

“Lovely and perfectly located!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 October 2010

From the moment I saw Montepulciano as we drove up to the hilltown, I fell in love! Meuble Evoe was pitch perfect! Parking is difficult but our lovely hostess had someone meet us and help us through the maze of ancient streets! The room was beautiful and the location quiet yet steps away from everything food wine and shopping! I loved the town and would stay only at Meuble Evoe! Bonus is that they run quite a nice restaurant nearby! Breakfast is 5 euro but very worth it!! I loved everything about this wine-centric village. Vino Nobile wines at every footfall. Remember you must call at your arrival so that they meet you!

“Perfect little Meuble in the middle of town.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 September 2010

We spent a few days in Montepulciano and were so lucky to stay in the Meuble Evoe right in the old town. The rooms although a little small were immaculately clean and serviced impeccably. The Meuble has the added advantage that the owners own the fabulous restaurant downstairs - which you must take a visit to! The location also means you can visit the fabulous Montepulciano cantinas so sample some wine. An all round perfect location, wrapped up in a perfect little package of a meuble!
