We stayed at this hotel in the fall and it was the worst experience we had in our trip to Italy. First, there was no heat whatsoever and it was November. While the days are nice in Tuscany the evenings get very cold. We were freezing in our rooms. Second, there was no hot water and the cold water that was running was so scarce. Third, it was very dirty overall. Fourth, the showers didn't work! So we couldn't even have a shower in the morning as there was not even any running water. It was truly disguisting. We obviously skipped breakfast and couldn't wait to get out of the terrible place. Another thing was that there were no other couples or families staying at the hotel that we could see and the only other guests we saw were ALL young females with lots of makeup. Quite suspicious. Oh, and on top of all that they did not even ask us for ID or anything when we checked in!!! Everywhere else in Italy they ask for your passports. Anyway, do yourselves a favour and DO NOT go to this hotel. Mercatini Terme is filled with hotels and I'm sure you could find much better ones with prices akin to this hotel.
