We stayed at the Hotel Augustus in June, 2009. We found the front desk staff to be very helpful, and they spoke English fairly well. The lobby of the hotel is pretty nice, as is the dining room. We ate there with our EF tour group, and the food was pretty good. I was a bit disappointed in our room, which was on the fourth floor. It had a slanted roof in the bathroom, and a skylight that opened. The wood on the skylight was molding, and it made the whole bathroom smell moldy. The rest of the bathroom was spotlessly clean. I didn't like the carpeting in the halls or rooms. It was very old, and in severe need of cleaning. The twin beds in our room were clean and comfortable. Although I would probably not recommend this hotel to a friend, it was an ok place to stay. I did sleep well, and like I said, the bed, and bathroom were quite clean.
