We have just returned from a fabulous stay at Villa Condulmer Hotel. A fantastic small hotel, with great staff.
Our room opulent with high ceilings and gold fabric on the walls. It was located at the back of the main building. There was plenty of room (if you are taking kids, loads of room for cot not to take up all space!) The bathroom was modern and to a high standard. (Bathrobes and slippers are provided.)
The pool was a good size and child friendly. There is plenty of space that we could get away from the noise, we hardly noticed that there were at least 15 kids around the pool. We had lunch and snacks by the pool, which were promptly delivered and of a high standard at a reasonable price
The main areas of the hotel are well maintained and very clean. The outside of the hotel is looking slightly tired, but we put that down to wonderful Italian architecture!
Breakfast was the only disappointment. A simple affair of cold meats, cheese, scrambled eggs. As well as fresh fruit, beautiful pastries and breakfast cereal. We all felt that it was very disorganised on a busy Saturday morning. A number of people were hanging around the buffet table in anticipation for the next batch of food. At least the coffee was good when it arrived (if somewhat cold!) Having said all of this, the breakfast was amazing (and we could choose from the dishes) on the very quiet Monday!
The hotel was busy and full of families and couples. Many people would stay round the pool for the whole day or take a trip in to Venice. I note that another reviewer was shocked that Venice was so far away. From a map, this would have been evident.
The airport was approx 20 minutes drive in a taxi, approx 35 Euros. From the airport, you could take a water taxi into Venice. The nearest town is approx 5 minutes in a taxi cab. A few good basic restaurants available and great ice cream shop in the town centre.
I would most certainly stay again at this lovely hotel. It would be perfect for a romantic get away or a family. There is an amazing golf close very close by, which I understand the Italian Football team use!!
