This is a fantastic hotel and a through back to the 70's. When we were there in 2007 yes the rooms were not fatastic but you go there for the amazing old fashioned service, where you get the same waiter every night, food is really good, pool area ideal for young kids and close to the beach. Maybe slightly overpriced

Pretty awful stay 4 night stay - costing €120 per night - not slept in a single bed since I was 15. Hotel reception area and adjacent bar and dining area well presented, but rooms badly in need of significant refurb - garish paint and very basic rooms fittings require updating. Staff attentive but I left feeling hugely ripped off by this hotel that has a gall to call itself a 4 star - more like 2 star at best. Shame really, lovely location.

This is a superb hotel in a beautiful part of Italy, it is our second visit. It is situated on the beach with a delightful pool complex. All the facilities are faultless. The staff are excellent, the food is excellent,, the cleanliness is first class and the rooms are very nice. The only thing missing is a bit of entertainment in the evenings, particularly if the weather is bad otherwise it is excellent and we can understand why people have been going back year after year for 30+ years and this is our second but certainly not the last.

My client booked me at the Aurelia from Oct7-9 , 2007. I asked for a bigger room (not standard) without carpeting with the understanding that I would pay a difference for it. The floor was covered with dust and filthy, I had to clean it myself. My breakfast tray the following evening was still in my room after..... someone had eaten the pastries & breadrolls& jam I had left in the morning.
When I went to pay for my extras, I found that I had to pay extra 20 euros for the bigger room .... I had cleaned for myself.
