The hotel is perfectly located right at the top of Piazza Ferretto in Mestre, the Venice suburb on the land side of the lagoon. It has a couple of parking spots in the back of the hotel, although it is tricky to access it with the car as it is a pedestrian area and very crowded at night. Some people may give bad looks as they do not know the hotel has parking spots available. Alternatively, it has another parking 5 minutes walk away but you will need to get the key from the reception desk.
The rooms are not huge but comfortable enough. Unlike other hotels in the area, the rooms have been refurbished with wooden floors which makes them clean pretty clean. Even if the bathroom is small, it has all that is needed and perhaps even more: a good sized sink, a shower, a toilet bowl, a bidet and a built-in blow dryer. There also is a minibar next to the bed and mind you, it is very silent and you won't hear it at night. Rooms also have free wireless internet connection. The only downsides are the next-door cathedral that has its bells ringing loudly at 7:00 AM every morning and the ancient TV in the room with only a very few channels.
The hotel has a large breakfast buffet. I mean, large for Italian standards. They have pastries, bread with maremelade, cereals, ham and fresh fruits. Do however not use the coffee machine in the main room, it is rubbish! Instead, ask the waitress to make you a proper Italian coffee with the machine they have at the bar. If you are in Italy, you have to do it the Italian way, right? ;-)
Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view on the back, they are much quieter as they won't face the terraces of...
