We spend one week with 4 children. The Residence is very convenient, clean, with top quality material (we were not afraid that our turbulent child break any fragile thing or furniture). The private beach is a must on this rocky coast.

The staff is very kind, welcoming children and always readyy to help, and the nearby Olga's Alimentary very usefull and very authentic.

The view from the pool is breathtaking, and the village is very friendly. You are there in real Italy, not in a "costa like" place.

We were there like in paradise.

We spent a week at Olgas as part of our honeymoon trip to Italy. We stayed in the Venere apartment which has one bedroom, bathroom and nice living room and kitchen area.

Olgas was near to perfect for what we were looking for. The apartment was well equipped to cook in and the balcony was perfect to enjoy meals on. The views were superb and made up for the distance to the beach. You can't have both - beach location and hillside position and views!

Olgas has its own swimming pool which was more than ok and together with the private beach area has ample factilites to lounge around and swim. It is also well positioned to enjoy the walking routes around the area either up hills or down to other beach areas.

From Marina del Cantone - the coastal town beneath Nerano (where Olgas is), you can take boats to Capri or along the coast. Alfonso (Olgas manager) will help arrange this for you. Nerano is towards the end of the peninsula and Amalfi coast and I think the location in Nerano means you get a lot more for your money than a villa in say Postiano. We drove along the coast one day visiting Amalfi, Positano and so on. The area around Nerano is not far off as pretty as areas along the coast either and is a lot quieter.

Alfonso was very good as was Olga who runs the shop opposite the apartments. I did read reviews that the shop was not well stocked but from our visits there you could but Verve Cliquot to superglue and everything in between, which isn't bad for a shop the size of a spare bedroom. As a tip, there is a big supermarket where you come off the main road on the way onto the Sorrento peninsula and it is worth stopping here and stocking up if you have a week or so to stay.

In summary - a great place to stay to relax and explore a beautiful area.

We stayed at Olga's Residence for one week in August with our 2 children; 2 years and 1 year. Alfonso and Marco could not do enough to help us out and we thrilled with our choice for a number of reasons. Nerano is a perfect base to explore the region with or without a car. The bus network is excellent and we are so glad we chose Nerano over Sorrento or Positano as it was quieter. The beach at Nerano was gorgeous ... the walk down the hill is easy even with a double buggy and the bus can bring you back. We found having a grocery store across the road (run by Olga herself (Mum))extremely handy as we didn't have to get in the car and navigate the busy roads. Alfonso organised a tour to Capri for us and the boat left from the beach which was very handy. The restaurants along the beach are lovely and we had great meals and all with very friendly service. We also enjoyed one day trip to Positano and Amalfi and another to Pompei and Sorrento. The apartments were excellent. Extremely clean and very well equipped. I couldn't beat the price with any of the other place i looked at so terrific value as well. They are basic but absolutely perfect with kids. The pool was always a source of entertainment for the kids and it was very well maintained by Alfonso and Marco. All in all i cannot find a fault with Olga's Residence and we haven't stopped talking about our lovely holiday since returning home a few days ago. You will not be disappointed. Very comfortable and clean apartment. Private beach is excellent (there is a fridge, changing rooms, sun beds etc). Nerano itself is a quaint little village and to get down to the beach/restaurants you must have a car or use the local bus service- it is much too far to walk.
While we were there the Wifi only worked for a limited amount of time but this was not a major problem for us.
Olga herself is a lovely lady who runs one of the 2 alimentaris (grocers shops) in the village. We shopped there in order to buy food etc- the local wine (both red and white) was excellent- particularly at 3 euros per litre!
Nerano is quite a long way out of Sorrento- taxi cost us nearly 80 euros. The bus service is good but the bus gets very crowded. We would recommend geting a hire car (if you think you can cope with italan drivers.................).
Nerano itself is a quiet village- but, the road that runs past the apartments is typical in that traffic noise features all day- horns being sounded in order to warn other road users of vehicles approaching narrow, blind bends etc.
