I would like to make it known how unprofessional I find this "hotel." They've just canceled a reservation made a month ago with less than 2 days until we arrive. We are now forced to look for a new hotel in Venice a week before Easter. The only positive side is that, I won't have to stay at such a terrible place. I'm not sure why we booked this hotel without really reading all the bad reviews. We couldn't even trust this hotel with a simple reservation, why would we want to trust it with our business!

The hotel is really far from the train station- at least 30-minutes on the bus and it cost a fair bit in taxi fares also. But what upset us the most was the cleanliness of the room- the bathroom floor and shower floor and shower walls were covered in other people's pubic hairs. They weren't ours, because they were there as soon as we walked into the room. There were also remnants of someone else's business in the toilet, so the toilet had clearly not been cleaned either. It was evident the floors hadn't even as so far been swept clean between clients, let alone vacuumed and mopped. The shower was also filthy with mould and clearly not cleaned properly either.
The staff were quite unfriendly and treated us as though we were second-rate for having booked on Wotif. There were signs all over the place in the dining area when having breakfast with rules and instructions- it makes one feel as though they are in Kindergarten once more.
A terrible experience, would rather have slept in a backpacker hostel. At least it would be cleaner.

This place was a sleeper as we unwisely did not get GPS with our car and it took us a while to find....First impression is not that great but again its a sleeper as it has a bus line to Venice Island right outside and super helpful staff and a great breakfast. Its location allows you to drive in to it leave your car safely in the free parking and take the bus right into the transport hub for the expensive part of Venice. Rooms were nice although the skylight in the upstairs ones precludes sleeping in for long..

Stayed here for just one night as a part of a tour. Unlikely others, had no trouble finding my room as was right near reception. I thought it was one of the better hotels I stayed in for the price in Europe. Room was spacious and clean.
