We stayed in apartment 208 in June 2011. It has a fantastic view over the lake and is clean and comfortable. The family are extremely helpful and there are cycles which guests can use.

There is a supermarket and bread shop 10 minutes walk north and you walk alongside the lake. You can walk all the way to Malcesine by the lake and it takes about 40 minutes. There is an hourly bus service which stops outside the hotel if you need it. There are restaurants at Assenza, 10 minutes walk south, and some closer in high season.

It is on the road and some of the vehicles can be noisy, not because the road is busy but because the sound echos on the balcony.

The decor is good and well kept and all of the positives for this hotel far outweighed the fact it was near the road.

It is very good value and we would go back.

We stayed at the Hotel Lido during June. While the staff are very friendly and option to borrow bicycles is very convenient, the room was quite disappointing, even considering the realatively low price of 80 Euros.

Hotel Lido is located right on the busy main road. This in not uncommon for hotels around Lake Garda. Noise from the traffic outside is very annoying in this hotel as sleeping with the window closed is not an option in summer. Thereis no air conditioning and NOT EVEN A FAN! this means that closing the window translates to stifling heat and the risk of dehydration during the night. Leaving the window opens means passing trucks keep you awake all night. So we basically had to chose between heat and noise.

The decor of the hotel is well preserved considering they haven't redecorated since the early 70s. This might be appealing for those interested in retro interior design.

On the plus side the staff are lovely people and very kind.
The persian rugs in the entrance lobby are a nice touch.

Nice location across road from Lake Garda - but quite far out from Malcesine. There is a tourist bus or to walk there is a path along lake part of way (but not all way - some of way need to walk by road).

We had a side lake view from balcony. Apartment tired.

Our second year at the Lido, in a bigger appartment this year with air conditioning. Superb lake view and large balcony. Very clean and everything we needed, pool, plenty of sunloungers, garden, bikes to borrow (bike path along lake straight outside hotel going for miles in both directions), sunloungers on its' own beach by the lake and great friendly service. Eating out was varied with plenty of places to choose from in the main town which is probably a 45 minute slow walk away or 15 mins on the bikes. Closer eating places in either direction of the hotel within 10-15mins walk. Windsurfing lessons and/or hire at Stickl sport 5 mins walk away.
Highly recommended, great value for money and will return
