Me and my partner stayed here in August 2011, the room we had was on the ground floor facing the lake. The room it's self was pretty basic but clean and well laid out, white washed walls, and slightly dated interior. I'm not going to lie but I we were a little gutted when we first got our room as we had seen the ones on the Capri website and expected something a little more contemporary. We found out that at the time that only a few rooms had been updated and I can see by the site now that they have a few more options when picking your room. We had an EXECUTIVE double room which is now called a Exclusive B as the Executive look to be the more contemporary looking rooms. This would be the one thing I would
Saying all that about the room was fine and we spent next to no time in there other than sleeping and getting ready. The dining area was lovely and if you managed to eat on the terrace then the views are amazing.
The staff to me were the best part of the hotel. It's a family run place and I've never met such hard working and welcoming people. Marco and his brother Emile were brilliant. Marco runs seems to run the reception and I can only say that Emile works the floor, he's running breakfast, chatting to guest, giving them tips on things to do and places to visit. These guys made our holiday.
So it all I've got to say we loved our stay. My partner and mother are going again in May to do some more planning for our wedding and we will all be there in September for the big day.
So Positives:
location
views
service
food
Not so positives
double check when booking your rooms
not so good if you have limited mobility as it's not got the best access when on foot.
