We had a week at La Divina in the October half term holidays, booked as a package with Thomsons, The room was large with a single and a double sofa bed which was fine for us, The kitchen had all we needed as we did eat in on a few occassions. The TV had CNN and BBC World News in English. Two supermarkets close by were reasonable for bread milk etc. There is an exellent Pizza Takeaway next to the Panorama Hotel where 3 large pizzas were 13 Euros. The ice creams are also very good and ranged from 2 - 3 Euros.
In 7 days it rained for for 1 1/2 days, Others days were lovely and warm where you could wear shorts, t-shirts and flip flops. People were sunbathing on the beach ( which has black sand) and some were in the sea. The hotel pool was very cold. It did chill off in the evening and the locals were dressed in winter coats.
If you wanted to use the local bus you need to buy your tickets first. You can do this in shops with the SITA sign. They all go to either Amalfi or Salerno. To go to Sorrento you change at Amalfi which is 15 minutes away. The bus experience is definately worth doing. There are lots of tight bends and sheer drops to the sea below on very narrow roads. It is a short walk to the next resort of Minori which has a much smaller beach.
Overall a very good holiday. Italy impressed us and we would go back to Maiori.
