“Heaven on the Middle Earth”

Palazzo Coco situated at the beginning of the Lemon Path in the quaint little town, Maiori not far from bustling Almafi. The spectacular view of the Mediterranean sea comes as a reward once you managed >175 steps or >270 steps (depending on which way you take to the Bed and Breakfast). You will feel better if you view the steps as part of your training for walking up and down the many beautiful paths of Almafi coast. Once you reach Palazzo Coco with your luggage, Filomena (the all in one and the one and only Bed and Breakfast manager) will make you feel like you are almost in Heaven (please see other reviews). You can have an easy walk along the Lemon Path to Minori or go further by climbing up to Ravello and if that is not enough walking down to Amalfi before catching a local bus back to Maiori. The ice cream shop opposite the ferry terminal was delicious whilst the cafe (and cakes) by the bus stop (towards Amalfi) at the other end of the town was wonderfully divine.

“Amazing place, amazing view, amazing host, amazing food!!”

On a 4.5 month trip around Europe, and Palazzo Coco was definitely one of our favorite places.

Stayed for 4 nights, had towels changed daily, our clothes washed for us (and dried + folded!), and a brilliant breakfast prepared daily.

Filomena gives 110% to this place, and it shows. Without doubt she is one of the best hosts you will find ANYWHERE, and if you can find anything on the Amalfi Coast that even remotely compares, then have a look at the 5-Star prices you'll be paying versus the bargain-basement rates Palazzo Coco offer .. You'll understand.

The view from the room is to die for, and it gets even better from the terrace above. The 320-odd steps from the main street of Maiori up to the 1st floor entrance can be taxing, but it is nothing you can't handle. It honestly gets easier the next day, and the next etc.

There was only one downside to our stay at Palazzo Coco, and it is a big issue: we left Filomena wishing we had stayed with her longer, and regretting that we had only booked 4 nights in this true gem of a B&B.

Filomena, Mel and I cannot wait to be back on the Amalfi Coast again, even if the biggest reason is to stay with you at Palazzo Coco again!!

All the best,

Rob and Mel (Sydney, Australia)

“Amazing Views but they weren't joking about the stairs!!!”

We were really looking forward to our stay and booked in for 4 nights. We were upgraded into a lovely little flat which is right on the Path of the Lemons and overlooked Maiori and the Mediterranean sea. We enjoyed the space and privacy - although we did have to go into the breakfast room to get wifi access. We also loved the fact that our laundry was included in the price - something we really needed!!!

Breakfast was simple but tasty - they bought great bread, meats and cheese and heated up croissants which were hot and buttery. Really lovely.

The only "downside" was the fact they weren't joking about the steps! There are definitely more than 150 if you come up from the main street, and for the two of us lugging backpacks - we felt every single one of them. Luckily the view is worth it!!!

Also, we visited at the end of the season, and whilst in every other respect Filomena was more than lovely, we missed out on tips about where to eat around town, where to get discounts for meals by mentioning Palazzo Coco and the fact that buses only come once every 2 hours on Sundays - things I think that are due to the fact we were visiting at the end of her 7 month work stint!

All in all, quite a nice stay - and definitely take the time to take the Path of Lemons to Minori - the views are fabulous - and treat yourself to some delectable gelato when you get there!!!

“Best B&B I've ever stayed in.”

We stayed for 3 nights and the stay was excellent! Filomena was extremely helpful and welcoming. Our room was large and the sea views were wonderful. There are quite a few steps to get from the main area up but the view is worth it and it only takes 5 minutes to get down to the beach. We will definitely stay again.
