We stayed for two weeks on a half board basis and couldn't have been more comfortable. The staff, although speaking little English, were extremely friendly, and special mention should be made of the professional restaurant staff, who went out of their way to please. The rooms were clean, large and cool. The hotel is in an excellent position with close proximity to the local bus service (which we found very prompt but expensive), and a five minute walk to the centre of town. The whole area is a delight and it is possibly the most scenic area we have visited. Would highly recommend this hotel and the area.

We had a fantastic time at Hotel San Francesco, from the moment they picked us up from Naples airport the service was excellent. All the staff were so friendly and helpful, and the rooms were very clean and big. Breakfast offered a wide choice of breads, cheeses, cakes and pastries and I believe there was an option for cooked breakfast if you wanted it.
The hotel is suitable for couples and families they seemed to cater for everyone and nothing was too much trouble.
I am quite a fussy traveller and tend to stick to larger chain hotels that I know I can trust, but this hotel was absolutely fantastic and I will stay there again.

My husband and I really liked this hotel. We found the staff very friendly and most helpful. We found staff cheerful and helpful. The rooms comfortable and very clean. In fact, the whole hotel is very clean. The breakfast is far better than most hotels in Italy and in fact more than adequate. The location is perfect as it is not right on beachfront which helps with noise factor. I have read other comments on this hotel and cannot agree with any of the negative comments. Some people must be very hard to please. Maiori is the best town on the Amalfi coast in which to stay as it isn't full of busloads of noisy tour groups.
