When we visited Madonna di Campiglio, for one night only, weather was so-so and in the evening a terrible thunderstorm broke loose. This might have affected our impression of the resort, which probably is just lovely with perfect conditions. Cime d'Oro is in the outskirts of Campiglio, well-kept and seemingly well-managed, and we got a nice greeting with recommendations about what to do and where to go for the best hiking in current weather conditions. The small spa section with a sauna and whirlpool enhanced our evening. Also, they drove us and a larger group to an open restaurant (because of the pouring rain) which was very kind. Room felt a bit dark with its wooden walls, it was on the smaller side but definitely comfortable enough. Buffet breakfast very good.

We stayed for a week while skiing in Madonna. Its a great location, about 10 mins walk from centre of town and they provide a shuttle service to the ski lifts in the morning & evening. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is excellent. The hotel spa area is small but great to have after a day up the mountain. It is a friendly relaxed family atmosphere and the owners speak excellent English.

I'd certainly stay there again!

If you're looking for the atmosphere of a smaller family owned hotel in Madonna di Campiglio, this is it. We have been staying at Lorenzo & Maria's place every other year since 1999 and feel like part of the family when we're there. We've met other families who come at the same time we do, usually the Christmas holidays and have kept in touch throughout the year. The rooms are European, so the rooms are not spacious but the best thing is after a day of skiing to sit in the lounge/den area of the hotel and visit with other families & couples staying there. They take you to and from the four base areas almost any time you want to go and all you have to do is tell them when you're done and someone will get you (it's a five minute ride). You can walk into the center of the city in about ten minutes and Maria can help you with virtually anything from a restaurant to a day trip on your own. Their prices are very reasonable for Madonna and with Lorenzo being a ski instructor, he can help you with ski school or a private lesson
