I came to the Carlo Magno for a conference in January. I thought the place was sensational, one of the best places I've ever been to, not sure what's up with all the poor reviews! The food was some of the best I had in Italy, workers were nice. Swimming pool very clean and neat. Rooms weren't super fancy but very very clean and the bathroom is spotless. Right next to the ski lifts. I got a discount on the rooms through my conference, but I would come back in a heartbeat when I have more money some day.

The address of the hotel was the famous Madonna di Campiglio, but the hotel is actually located a few kilometers away. The rooms are small and not cozy. The air in spa was chilly, as was water in jacuzzy. The service was poor.

We were very pleased with the welcome at reception and the efficient way our party was allocated rooms,however rooms were small and lacked finish of 4 star hotel.The wellness centre was lovely but list of rules and requirement to have shoes and hats should have been pointed out on web site .we think it is a bit much to pay for a stay in the hotel and then to be asked to pay extra for using the pool,with shoes hats and fee this came to an extra 45 euro per person.What really annoyed though was on the morning we were leaving our transfer was booked for 7.30 am. Breakfast did not start until 7.45 in spite of everthing being laid out and staff all in our party were not even allowed to get drink of orange juice and the restaurant manager actually locked the doors with us in there and we had paid for breakfast.Not good enough for this standard of hotel
