The hotel's location outside of Madonna di Campiglio in the beautiful nature of the Dolomites makes it very suitable for winter sport holidays: several ski slopes are right in front and behind the hotel. The hotel contains a huge spa area with swimming pool and diverse saunas for a perfect relax after a day of skiing. I tried several types of massage (facial, foot and lymph drainage) during my stay at the Carlo Magno and was delighted by them. Although we had to pay an extra of 30€ for the spa we enjoyed the quietness of the swimming pool and the uncrowded saunas. Another great thing about the Carlo Magno were the delicious pasta, fish and meat dishes in the restaurant. The room we stayed in was cozy and comfortable with a magnificent view of the Dolomites.

The hotel includes excellent rooms, a variety of wellness and leisure possibilities and, most important, outstanding service. The food served there was one of the best I've ever tasted. The view from our balcony was splendid and the hotel is embedded in a breathtaking environment. Once I'll have the possibility, I will return there in an instant, where it does not matter if in summer or winter.

I came to the Carlo Magno for a conference in January. I thought the place was sensational, one of the best places I've ever been to, not sure what's up with all the poor reviews! The food was some of the best I had in Italy, workers were nice. Swimming pool very clean and neat. Rooms weren't super fancy but very very clean and the bathroom is spotless. Right next to the ski lifts. I got a discount on the rooms through my conference, but I would come back in a heartbeat when I have more money some day.

The address of the hotel was the famous Madonna di Campiglio, but the hotel is actually located a few kilometers away. The rooms are small and not cozy. The air in spa was chilly, as was water in jacuzzy. The service was poor.
