Great hotel with recent expansion/refurbishment, friendly owners and staff, and a quiet location just steps away from everything Madonna di Campiglio has on offer. Overall an inviting atmosphere that made us feel at home, as much as one can in a hotel of course ;-)
My wife and I stayed seven nights while we enjoyed a week of hiking. Francesco suggested some routes, advising us to avoid one trail that I had planned to hike (glad he did), and even gave us a ride to the Groste gondola one day so we could avoid a boring 2-3K road hike.
We had a comfort room that was good-sized (by European standards) with both a tub and shower in the bath, a seating area with a sofa, and a walk-in closet providing both space for hanging and shelves. The room also had a flat screen TV with Sky (although we never actually used it) and wired internet. I received a weak wireless signal in the room, however a full strength signal is available in the lounge and terrace area.
Breakfast and dinner were spot-on offering a broad selection at each. We chose from the menu every evening although observing other tables it appeared that the staff was happy to provide anything you might desire at both breakfast and dinner. Our need for nourishment was also satisfied in the afternoons with our post-hike wine and beer on the terrace accompanied with snacks that varied day to day.
This being our eleventh trip to the alps we've stayed in many hotels, Hotel Diana is definitely one of the best and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Madonna di Campiglio.
