We stayed in the Hotel Vidi in Madonna di Campiglio at Easter 2004. We were attracted by the cheap Ryanair flights direct from Glasgow to Milan (Bergamo) and by the free lift pass deal offered for the pre-Easter week by the local tourist board.
The resort was great - interesting shops, plenty of restaurants and bars etc and very authentic. The hotel was excellent - extremely friendly staff, great food (5 courses every night!), a very nice leisure complex (sauna, steam room, jacuzzi), a good sized family room with balcony and stunning views and great ski-in, ski-out location.
The skiing itself was superb with plenty of variety for a week, loads of snow (although I think we were lucky!) superb and very reasonable mountain restaurants and not a queue in sight.
All in all this was a total success - half the price and twice as good as Courchevel the previous year!
