We are a danish family of 2 adults and 3 children and we have just returned from an excellent ski-vaccation in Livigno. We stayed at the very affordable Hotel Baita Cusini and by this review we want to recommend the small hotel to other travelers. The small cosy hotel is run by a very friendly family and you really feel like home. We had half board with breakfast and dinner. The food is prepared by the family itself and is excellent italian food. The hotel is situated in the Teola area at a chair lift taking you to the "Mottolino" ski area which is the ski area we preferred. From the hotel (and from our room) there is a very nice view towards the mountains on "Carosello" side of the Livigno valley. The rooms and hotel are very clean and all the interior our room and bathroom (room no. 2) was brand new. We are surprised that the hotel is only rated as a two stars hotel. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Four of us stayed here for a week and had a great time. Every member of the family made us feel very welcome, more like friends than guests.
The food is excellent, a great variety of courses every day, and all our food allergies were catered for expertly.
The bus stops just up the road so you can get to any part of town or ski lift very easliy and the buses are free and run to 9pm
We also had a great deal on ski hire equipment from the owners brother - top notch gear with great service
While in Livigno you could try carting on ice, skidooing, cross country skiing, horse riding, sliegh rides, walking, or looking round far too many shops, bars and restaurants - you gotta see the prices to believe them.

This is the first time i have writen a review on Trip Advisor , but i had to put pen to paper to tell you what a great time me and four of my mates had in Livigno at the hotel Baita Cusini hotel . Apart from the 5 hour transfer (including stop) from Bergamo everything was excelent. The staff at the hotel were very frendly and gave every guest a personal family touch. The food was excelent with 4 courses of Italian home cooked food. 5 min bus ride into town wich is a masive 12 km long with loads of bars and duty free shops. We went on the 6th jan 2007 to the 13th. There was loads of snow and all of the lifts were open both sides of the mountain. I think i can speak for all of us whos ages range from 24 through to 36.( Me and my mates wives let us get away for a week) We have all been on at least 2 ski holidays every year for the past 6 years , so have a good idea what is good and what is not. This is great. Many thanks to the staff again at the Baita Cusini. Hope to be seeing you next season.

We stayed here for a week, and from the moment we arrived the family made us feel very welcome. The hotel overall deserves to be AT LEAST a 3 star, it has a family feel, with a real mix of people staying there. Its suitable for couples, groups , families and sole travellers. I was always impressed with the dinner which was superb, real Italian fodder, tons to fill you up after a long day on the slopes. The owners could not do enough to make our stay a happy one, inlcuding getting up at 4am to see us off. We hired boards and boots from the owners brother (an ex championship skiier), who had his own hire company. I would strongly recommend using this and not being convinced to sign up to expensive package deal equipment. The kit was spanking new and in tip top condition. My only reservation about the hotel would be the noise of the bar area can carry to the bedroom corridors. Not a problem if you stay in the bar!! Overall fantastic value for money.
