First off, the good points:
- Hotel was clean and obviously fairly new. Rooms were clean and modern, and had a small outside area with seating which was nice to relax in. Room has A/C and TV, plus reasonable mini-bar.
- Small gym available (1 bike, 1 running machine, 1 weight machine), plus room with playstations for the kids.
- Small pool for cooling off in (too small for a proper swim though)
- Free internet access on a laptop in the lobby
- Transfer bus to ferry (I assume you can get a pickup as well).

Next, the not so good:
- Staff were a little cold, most don't speak english. Only one girl (Australian) spoke good english.
- Uninspiring location, though only a few minutes from Marina Corta, where you get the boat trips.
- No beach nearby. Nearest is a bus ride away.
- Breakfast buffet was basic. Be sure to ask for a Latte or Cappicino from the staff, the "Cafe Americano" from the machine was horrible.

Overall, the hotel was good for the basics, i.e. bed and breakfast, but don't expect any nice extras. Value was just OK. Saying that, probably as good as you'll get on the Aeolian islands

I have been there for a week with my family and I did not enjoy the service.
Room were very small but clean and quite new
Waiters did not care about customers but management is even worse.
Breakfast is poor and do not expect a large choice of food. But it should be acceptable if the service is better. But I have never met so unfriendly waiters in a 4 stars hotel.
Swimming pool is very small and there is no ocean view (but this is clear if you look to the hotel website so I do not complain about it)

Stayed a week at this hotel recently. It's very well located, 5 to 10 minutes walk from the very centre of town, which is really convienient for the restaurants and the marinas for boat trips but it also means it's well away from the traffic noise of town.

The hotel was spotless - which is a huge compliment from someone as fussy as me! We had a room with a terrace, which was a nice shady and private place to sit and relax. If you want me to be really picky I would say that the bathroom could have been a bit bigger, but it was perfectly adequate and the beautiful decoration and furnishing more than made up for the room size. The pool was great and the fitness room was a bonus to help you work off all the cannoli and cassata you just have to eat in Sicily.

We felt completely at home here and the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful.

All in all one of the best Italian hotels I have ever stayed in. To be recommended to anyone who is looking for a modern, clean and extremely comfortable hotel.
