“What a view”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 October 2009

Stayed here in July 2008 for 4 nights. A/C was broken and they did not believe us until others complained. We had some discount because of it but it did not help us sleep at night... The room was simple and small but the balcony was as big as the room and had a fab view. We loved the sound of the ocean in the mornings and evenings. Breakfast is poor for scandinavians. Fresh croissants with marmelade is not just enough. Coffee was good though.

“probably not the best place to stay in Lerici”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 October 2008

The location is good, not in the middle of town but ten minutes pleasant walk along the sea, but in better weather would have been perfect for the little sandy cove directly in front of of the hotel. It was fun watching the surfers, several of whom seemed to be staying here and sitting on the internet! The staff were fine, but like everything else about this hotel it was all a bit nondescript, no chic, no comfort, everything worked but it wasnt a pleasure to stay here. The bedroom was bare and functional, although the bed enormous and comfortable.
Lerici is lovely, though, and the Shelley Palme looked nice, as did the Florida.

“Not a 2nd time!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 July 2008

A rotten tiny bathroom with a 2x2' non-draining shower with disgusting curtain. Rave/techno disco until 2am on the beach on weekends - sleep deprivation guaranteed. No car parking, boring, simple breakfast, tiny room. All that for Eur 150/night.
Positives: proximity to (small) beach, nice staff, good coffee, nice balcony.

  • Liked — The coffee, the balcony (apart from noice pollution)
  • Disliked — horrible bathroom, tiny room, loud music on the beach until 2am

“Wow Azzurra”

"The hotel picture on their website does not do this place justice. It is a well-kept beautiful little hotel right on the beach. Only the road separates you from the lovely beach. Great fun location. This is the starting point if you decide to see the Cinque Terra by boat. The best way to see it. Lerici was a real surprise. We loved it and wished we could have stayed longer. You need a car, however, to get to the hotel. Hotel free parking was very nearby and when we departed, we were able to bring the car right up to the front of the hotel. The staff are not super friendly (except for one blond-haired lady) but we found that most Italians seem to mind their own business. Our room was bigger than we expected. Lerici and this hotel are just great. Internet is in their lobby."

  • Liked — Location
  • Disliked — Front desk could have been friendlier but perhaps was a language proglem.

“Has a Few Miles On IT”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 November 2006

I walked up to the hotel without a reservation and was given a tour of the room before I agreed to take it. The hotel is old and the rooms could stand some improvements. Nevertheless, the price was good, 95 euro per night which included the ok breakfast. We stayed here for two nights at the end of October.

The location of this hotel is excellent as you can walk to the town of Lerici and the boat docks. My girlfriend and I made the walk several times and found it quite enjoyable. The staff were very pleasant and helpful in answering your questions about the area. Parking was not a problem as the hotel gave us a pass and we parked right outside the front entrance.

The bathroom is very small but the great water pressure in the shower more than made up for this shortcoming. The view from the balcony is amazing and you can sit and watch the boats in the bay and also watch the sun set.

The hotel has a computer for internet use in the lobby for a nominal fee. There is no restaurant on the premisis and they were not able to offer me a glass of wine for purchase. I had arrived here from the Chianti area and loved my wine, so was shocked to find an Italian hotel without wine for purchase!!!
