We are here off season so I cannot speak for the conditions during a busy summer. The staff are quite friendly and helpful. The hotel is REALLY hard to locate especially if you are driving. We spent about 1 hour + driving through a maze of one way streets and wrong ways. It is really easy to walk to from town and very close (once you finally find it!). The hotel provides parking which is good since the town of Lerici only has 500 parking spaces and cars must register with the police if you park in one. The view from the hotel is stunning and has a smart patio off to the side of the hotel with a sweeping vista of the town and water. The room is small but comfortable with a tight but efficient bathroom.

We stayed here for our friend's wedding in Lerici. Having arrived very late at night we were shown to our room. This involved going out of the hotel, through a side gate, and into a building that I can only describe as grim. The entrance smelt, the staircase was miserable and the lift looked as though it should not have been in service 10 years ago. The room itself was ok, if not a little old looking. Waking up the next morning it appeared that we were not staying in the Doria Park, but instead in an apartment block next door in which the hotel had a couple of rooms. It looked even more miserable the next morning, especially when we arrived for breakfast in the 'real' hotel which looked smart and comfortable. We appeared to have been put into the 'overflow' rooms, or the rooms reserved for people they don't want in the main hotel - not sure which. Overall a very disappointing stay in what can only be described as miserable surroundings.

Stunning views from this excellent small hotel with an outstanding restaurant. Highly recommended.

Lerici is one of the most beautiful locations I have ever been to but keep in mind that it is perched on the side of a hill/cliff and this hotel is not at the bottom. The parking is just above the hotel but the stairs to check in are brutal if you have much luggage. I would highly recommend that this hotel add a bell boy to assist with luggage. Also a ramp of some kind so that suitcases could be rolled down hill would be extremely helpful. The rooms are nice but typical small European size with small showers. Wifi was pay by the hour which would have been nice to be included in the price of the room although there was a PC in the lobby. Ocean view is very nice and balcony allows an almost unobstructed view of the harbor but the deck and outside seating was wonderful too.

Breakfast was very complete but service was lacking. Burnt coffee, cold hot water for tea, cream missing etc. Powdered eggs were not really worth it, just leave them off. Fresh Orange juice machine was entertaining and delicious. A wide array of pastries, cereal, fruits, breads and jams was available and all very fresh.

It was a long walk down the ramp to the marina and piazza where most restaurants and shops are located and an even longer walk back up so you may like to have dinner at the hotel which we did not do since it was a prix fixe and one of us was a non fish eater. I would recommend having at least a few a la carte items available.

Overall the desk service was very professional and helpful and our stay was very pleasant.
