I have eaten at La Miranda's restaurant a number of times while staying in Lerici--but have never stayed in the rooms. The restaurant it open to the public. I have traveled all over the world I have to say that they have the best food that I have ever eaten.

We only had diner. did not stay int he hotel.
We took the "degustation" menu. Overall good but mch too expensive compared to what can be found in the area.
The dessert was not great.
Very nice service.
We do not recommand since we believe that good food can be found at a lower price...
Hard to park

We have stayed at LM twice. I am only writing this review to balance the remarkably negative things I have read in two other reviews. Trying to understand how someone could write about either bad service or even worse bad food - is pretty difficult.

This is a small family owned Italian gem and that may be part of the problem. It is not an international hotel. The family struggle to provide their miraculous food and contain background service costs at the same time. This does mean that you are served by the owners who are justly proud of what they offer. Speaking a bit of Italian also helps because when the son is not on site you are dealing with hard working genuine Italian people who have as little English as you perhaps have iTALIAN.

When our own Italian friends heard we were staying their they were so impressed they insisted on driving 100 km from Santa Margharita to join us for Dinner. They still look at us as if we poor brits got it right for once!

Do try Locanda Miranda and remember you are dealing with a hot blooded creative artist and a woman who represents impeccible Italian manners. She just doen't speak much English. Just look beyond that at what they have created.

Tellaro is a great little town with spectacular views over the Bay of Poets towards Portavenere. Locanda Miranda is a very good value and Alessandro is extremely helpful as a host.
Our room was on the side of the hotel on the top floor - spacious enough and with a large, newly renovated bathroom. More than adequate. As per other reviews the food is great (not cheap though) and highly recommended even if you aren't staying there.
Though right on the main road into town there isn't much night time noise except on weekends. Parking is provided. We used the bus to get into Lerici to catch the boat to Cinque Terre (highly recommended) and to Portavenere. By far the easiest option though it stops running too early to have dinner in Lerici. Beautiful area and Miranda is a great choice.
