Spent a lovely week at this hotel in mid-June. It is conveniently located near loads of shops, and a classy place to grab an espresso or evening cocktail, Raphael Caffe, is literally around the corner. Rooms are very clean, comfortable, and more spacious than most European accomodations. You'll find warmth and an attention to detail in the decorations--my personal favorite was the big glass-bowl sink in my bathroom. Still what puts this b&b in a class by itself is the owner. Not only is he available every morning at breakfast for advice on where to go and what to see, but he also actually cares about the well-being of his guests. When I arrived at the airport in Brinidisi, Alitalia had lost my luggage and it was necessary for me to call in every day to check whether the bag had been found. This would have been an absurd hassle (especially considering my limited understanding of the Italian language), but the owner handled the situation calling every day for 6 days until my bags were returned. Most chain hotels wouldn't lift a finger to help with that kind of thing. If you're considering a trip to Lecce (and if you're reading this, you ARE) don't hesitate, and don't bother reading another review. This is the place to stay.
