Many reports state that this hotel dated. This may be so but it is still pristine. The large rooms and bathrooms are immaculate, the public areas similar and the restaurant excellent. We enjoyed a super breakfast every day, served by friendly, attentive and professional waiting staff. The dinners were also excellent value.
We were very comfortable here, the car was safe in the underground car park and we were less than five minutes walk from the magnificent and atmospheric old town with its many restaurants and cafes.

The President Hotel is located on the east side of the downtown area of Lecce. It is several stories high, on an urban street. The view out my window was of another building across the street. It was all right, but not outstanding. My tour group visited the main historic sites in the center of Lecce, and then walked back to the hotel, which was a good distance of about 10 or more blocks. It was less than a mile, but getting close to that. We ate at the hotel restaurant that night, and the food was good. The President Hotel was okay, but I wouldn't say it was outstanding.

Hotel is excellent value for money. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, they were able to help us with any queries about getting around the area, going to football matches and recommendations for dining etc were spot on.
The hotel rooms are very spacious and the breakfasts good. It is iderally sitauted for wlaking around Lecce. Recommend it 100%

Well positioned hotel that was good value for money. The hotel is very dated (1970's) in style but spotlessly clean and very spacious. The reception staff spoke good English and were very helpful. Breakfast included a huge selection of cakes and cooked eggs and bacon were offered. We did not have dinner in the restaurant prefering to go out and would highly recommend Blu Notte just inside the Biagio gate for it's excellent fish.
Car parking was 10euros a day but that is cheaper than parking on the street.
