I booked this hotel for a one night stay in Lecce. I was not that convinced as I originally wanted a hotel more in the centre with a pool, but as I booked quite late and as it was August, there was hardly any affordable or free hotel fulfilling these criteria, so I took the Eos hotel, without pool and not right in the middle of the city centre.
As we arrived we realised that it was not in far from the historical centre. It is about 10 to 15 minutes by walk as we later found out. The hotel as a small parking, which is quite convenient as you can let your car there during your stay and do not worry about parking it. It costs €10 a day, very reasonable. As it is a small parking, it might be wise to reserve in advance.
The room are not very big, but absolutely reasonable for a city hotel and they are very stylish. There are series of themes for the decoration as far as we understood. The bathroom are quite big with great shower and the room has enough storages if you need to use them.
It is easy and safe to walk in the centre at night and the hotel staff was friendly.
However, the best really about this hotel is the breakfast. It didn't have such a good breakfast for a very, very long time. The Italians breakfast often do not propose cheese and ham as they are used to eat sweets. Here you had everything: great cheeses and only quality ones, not some kind of plastic gouda. All kind of croissants, sweets, fruits, breads (including olive bread) and some typical kind of bruscetta that you dip into water and toast with tomato and all (we were shown how to do it by the staff). What I really liked as well was that there were name cards in front of the products (ok usual) but they were also stating if it was a speciality of the region, which is nice when you wish to taste local food.
