There is nothing wrong with this hotel, it is medium size, user friendly and worth a saty; but we found it difficult to get too enthusiastic about it either. We stayed for one night en route around Lake Iseo, a nice alternative to the larger lakes and worth a day or two if you are on tour. If this is the case this hotel is worth a stay for a night (or possibly more).
The plus's were the staff - really friendly and very helpful. Good english spoken. The rooms are very clean. However the hotel is quite isolated, immediately by the side of the road and the railway line (however it is very quiet) and you absolutely must have a car. It was a little dificult to find at first - sharp left hand turn from the main street, well signposted if you know what you are looking for! As other reviewers have said there is a railway line nearby - but trains looked pretty infrequent. It is just a few miles outside Iseo - which is well worth a visit and a stay over. There is a really excellent pizzeria (where we ate - very cheaply, and good food all round) only 5 minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel itself has what looked like a fine restaurant (as we only stayed one night and we wanted a quick, simple and easy meal, we tried the pizzeria up the road).
Our room had a really nice lakeside view (we had paid for an upgraded room - standard rooms have no lakeside views), very pleasant. However, it was quite small and dark. The bathroom was very average. We were kept awake all night by the ducks - yes I know this sounds odd, but they were really noisy!!! At 110 euros per night (hotel reduced rate) it still felt expensive. Breakfast was fine without being too wonderful (but for a small hotel quite acceptable).
We were there in April - I am sure that during the summer this would be a much nicer affair- there is a small pool and I am sure the location right on the lakeside would be better with the summer sun.
All in all nothing wrong, but if you are in the area our view would be to stay in Iseo itself where it is a bit more lively - or move on a bit and stay at the Hotel Kinzica in Sale Marasino where we stayed the next night which has altogether more character.
In summary don’t let us put you off this hotel. There is nothing wrong with it- but for a prolonged stay try Iseo itself or the hotel Kinzica, just a few miles up the road
