“Very disappointing”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 October 2011

Stayed here for two nights, and yes it is close to the track. However the only thing that was 4 star was the price! we paid 313 euros for 2 nights B&B. The downstairs was dowdy and dated, while the room was ok but small. If this is 4 star then a travel lodge must be 5!!!
By comparison for our last night we went sight seeing and stopped in the Best Western in San Marino which truly is 4 star and only cost 95 euros for 1 night B&B.
In conclusion I strongly advise anyone visiting the Imola track to stay somewhere else and take a taxi with the money they would save.

Generally we are always willing to customers who write reviews on our structure even when it comes to negative reviews.
In this case, however, is the only thing written about the price paid without mentioning that it was a period with a major event at the racetrack, that’s why the price was quite high (€ 313.00 for 2 nights).
We are very close to racetrack (3 minutes walk from paddock entrance) and as we know the position is one of the discriminant that determine the price of a room.
In any case when you have booked you have accepted the price without being obligated.

We went for 4**** Hotel with a great location (walking distance to the race track-as they mention on their web site and yes it is,BUT the ENTRANCE TO THE CIRCUIT IS FROM OTHER SIDE,which is reachable within 15 minutes by CAR ) and ended up arguing in a dark,'elderly' reception with poor english speaking receptionists because they gave us room which did not match the room profile from their website and which I booked. So the room was changed - still not what they promote on the pictures, but better than the 1st one.Overall impression from the hotel - dark,no atmosphere, requires reconstruction, lobby needs to be changed desperately-looks very cheap and unclean, get a new furniture and a designer....Staff- not really welcoming and supportive, main problem -non english speakers ( which I quiet wonder because Imola is known for their circuit and I imagine they have a lot of international quests )......Food -thanks god we only had breakfast there. It was terrible-scrambled eggs swimming in olive oil, terrible coffee + no electricity in the whole hotel till midday..So Im not quiet sure how they made the breakfast (and probably I rather dont want to know). The waiter -since he did not speak any english he did not understand I would like to have CAPPUCCINO instead I got warmish probably it was coffee with milk....Bottom line dear travelers - The hotel does not deserve 4**** and it's not worth the money !

I was very surprised to read the above Review . Our hotel is part of the Best Western Group of Hotels and as such has to conform to strict criteria, regarding its cleanliness, food standards and also the decor.
All staff in key positions ( reception and restaurant ) speak English and some are multilingual.
The creziest thing contained in the rewiew is about the distance from the circuit: 15 minutes by car!!!! Writing this means not being afraid to be considered crazy.
Anyone can write what they want but anyone must have respect for the truth.

“Hotel refurbished”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 August 2010

The hotel has recently undergone a complete refurbishment, the lobbies and lounges are bright and comfortable and the room I had was very comfortable and modern, with a large bathroom, comfortable bed and all new fixtures and fittings. Also as I was staying there during the Italian holiday period and everyone had gone to the coast I got a fantastic deal at 25% of the normal rate.

The bar was a bit too bright for me, all white surfaces and chrome fittings, but thats a matter of personal taste.

The outside of the hotel looks a bit dated, but don`t let it put you off as it bears no relation to inside....and I understand is soon to be renovated too.

Staff were friendly and helpful and all spoke English to varying degrees.
Plenty of parking and only a few minutes walk from the Town and the railway station if you want to visit elsewhere.

“Beware!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 July 2006

This hotel has apparently rated themselves as a 4 star property. Based on the hideous, worn, dirty lobby and restaurant spaces, dark, florescent lit hallways with shabby carpet and rooms with equally awful decor, which clearly haven't been updated since the 50's, 2 stars would be generous. it's only positive attribute were the very pleasant, non-English speaking, staff at the front desk.
Also, we were in Imola for the Porsche Driving School at the Ferrari race track, which the Hotel description said was withing walking distance. Turned out to be several miles away!
Avoid at all costs.

I was very surprised to read the Review from Trip Advisor Santa Barbara. The Olimpia is part of the Best Western Group of Hotels and as such has to conform to strict criteria, regarding its cleanliness, food standards and also the decor.

The hotel hosts one restaurant which is located at the end of the lobby area and has windows on both sides. The colour scheme has been kept airy. The corridors are lit during all times as these do not have windows, like in most hotels. The hotel underwent a complete refurbishing program in 1998. The Olimpia has been graded as a 4 star Italian property. Gradings are different to all countries in the world and a 4 star in one country does not mean the same in another country.

All staff in key positions speak English and some are multilingual. The cleaning personnel of the hotel speak Italian.

I do not know to which Porsche Driving School they went, as the one located at the Enzo&Dino Ferrari circuit is within one mile of the hotel. The Olimpia is the closest located hotel to the Racing circuit.

The hotel prides itself with the service we give and most of our guests come back time after time again to enjoy the Italian hospitality which my staff presents them with.
