“Great view!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 July 2008

We stayed here at the end of the summer season 2006. We really enjoyed it: the staff were very friendly and helpful on the desk, the hotel was clean and spacious. I think we were the only English people staying here at the time (which we liked!)
The private beach area was large compared to the space other hotels had further up the strip.
Jesolo is an excellent place to stay if you want to visit Venice and its surrounding islands (we went to Murano and Burano) as it allows you to go sightseeing some days if you feel energetic and lounge around the pool or beach if you want a lazy day.
The only criticism we had was the choice at breakfast... either doughnuts or skinny german sausage with plastic egg (??)
Overall, we would highly recommend Hotel Byron Bellavista!

“A very good stay at Byron Bellavista”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 July 2008

We are a family of 12 and we arrived hotel Byron Bellavista after having spent a week on a cruise, so we were abit afraid that a week on a hotel would not be able to messure up to the cruise, but we were wrong. Byron Bellavista is a hotel we are very happy to recommend. The beach was great, the pool was great too.

The surroundings of the hotel were beautiful, a peaceful place to stay. The reception was stylish and classy.

Some of the rooms were very good looking, some were OK. make sure that you get a terrace that has two chairs.

The food was excellent, but some of the waiters did not speak english, so it wasn't always easy if you had questions considering the meny. However, the waiters were amazing. Positive and efficiant. The dinner is a la carte, but you can choose between five different alternatives.it tasted very good, but maybe not suitable for the picky children. It is however posstible to ask for a plate of french fries etc. Prices on drinks were also very good. The outdoor breakfast and lunch were excellent also, it was very nice being outside eating. Beautiful surroundings.

i am sure we wil be back at hotel byron bellavista some day.

“Cultivated and relaxing.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 October 2007

After a very noisy cruise from Venice on the "most beautiful ship in the world", it was like comming to heaven when we sank down into Byron's terrace chairs and could, in fact, hear the waves rolling on to the beach just below; No thundering loudspeakers, no exercise commands, no screaming kids diving into the pool, - just kids playing! Wonderful!
We probably had the best double room available as to location, 4. floor (403), forward on the SW side, the next would be the big seafront rooms - with another price! A bit small (as we had to line up two big suitcases along the wall), but recently renovated with a very nice bathroom. The balcony, although small, was ideal for a night cup watching and listening to the ever rolling waves. With no street noise, we could later leave the balcony door open through the night, - no sleeping pills!
Gliding through Byron's lounges, bar and restaurant tells you about an owner with a supreme grip on good taste, art and style, - it's pure medicine just to sit down with a good drink and just look!
Byron is the southernmost hotel on the 4 mile long Jesolo strip, close both to the direct Venice boat and the Venice/Jesolo centre bus. On Byron's privat beach you will all the time have your own reserved set of sunbeds + umbrella, even if you should prefer laying alongside the pool on a thick mattress (obs €5, incl a big towel).
The food is fenomenal and - by all means, - take the half pension, 5 courses for €10!! And what a service - all over the place! Top stylish waiters serving you - certainly with a glimps in their eyes! However; If you - after a while - can't stand the lack of thundering speakers, the nearby bus (every 1/2 hour) takes you to the roaring Jesolo centre in a few minutes.
Conclusion: Ref to other travelers' reports, you may probably find other hotels up the strip being as good as Byron with same level of class, style, service and food, but better? Hardly not!!

“Just a joy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 September 2007

We had 5 nights here last week, and couldn't recommend it highly enough. The rooms are just fine, but what really sets it apart are the public areas, which somehow manage to be both elegant and comfortable. The overall impression is of relaxation and restrained good taste. The staff are excellent, and the owners seem very involved in the day to day running of the hotel, - it's their private art collection on the walls, and they have a table for dinner. We were half board, dinner invariably excellent, breakfast tip-top European on the pool terrace.

The terrace and pool are both excellent, the small charge for pool beds is a good way of making sure that they are always available for those who want them. The beach is great, I enjoyed it most on the windy day when the sea was a little more boisterous . . .

Remember it is in a holiday resort - Venice is about 90 mins by bus and boat, but this is a place to relax. There's a little booth with free internet connection beside reception but I didn't see anybody using it. That probably says it all.

“Comfortable and relaxing”

Hotel Byron Bellavista is the last but one at the lighthouse end of the long, long strip of concrete that makes up the Lido di jesolo.
I found this resort visually unattractive, but after a few days I had to admit that it works. Everything's linear, the strip of beach, the pedestrian walkway for strollers and joggers, the hotel gardens or pool areas, the hotels themselves, then a sort of service street, then the long strip. The effect is to keep traffic well back from the beach, which avoids the traffic-choking south of france effect.
HBBV has an impressive marble-floored lobby, lots of antiques, art, persian rugs, comfy cream sofas. The terrace and pool areas are lovely, a balmy breeze blows through the verandah.
Staff are knowledgable and efficient, patiently explaining day after day how guests can get into Venice. Upstairs is a bit less impressive, shabby carpets and cramped room made small by hulking antique furniture. Still the room was very clean, and the bathroom had been given the marble treatment. Breakfast is very good. The beach has a blue flag, though I did see some unmentionables floating around. Overall its a pleasant hotel.
