“Ugh”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 August 2011

Jesolo is a low cost family destination, so it is to be expected that hotels are generally on a lower level than on other, more upscale resorts.
That said, while there is some visible effort to turn the Byron Bellavista into a four star establishment, those efforts mostly fail. First of all, the building is clearly not up to the task, and was probably built with a three stars at most in mind. Rooms are way too small, and so is the pool area, that incidentally also serves as breakfast and lunch area. There is a severe lack of other common spaces, e.g. no place for children to play, so they end up roaming around the bar and other "adult" spaces.
Many parts of the hotel are very old and serviced badly, there is lots of duct tape everywhere. We spent lot of time in front of the only elevator, which was often monopolized by the room service staff.
Room service is so so. Visible parts are cleaned well enough, but just look under the bed and on closets, and you will notice abundant dust and worse.
The hotel is full of stairs, so not recommended to wheelchairs or kid buggies.
Restaurant service is acceptable, although some staff members tend to forget your requests with alarming frequency.
Food is below average. While breakfast is acceptable, with a good buffet, at lunch a buffet is served, which is the same every single day. At dinner the same buffet is offered again, plus a menu with three different choices, which are not too bad.

All in all, I would not recommend the hotel to anyone. The only plus is that it is relatively cheap compared to other 4stars in Jesolo.

“Very pleasant surprise!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 August 2011

We booked 3 nights at Byron Bella Vista - coming off of a cruise and before spending some time in Rome. With a family of five, it is difficult to find suitable hotel accommodations, but Maria at the hotel was very easy to deal with.

We booked two rooms. One being the family room and another being a double. We also chose to book Full Board (just for ease of dinner and because the cost was not that much higher than the room alone).

The family room was very spacious with a double bed in one room and a trundle bed in the other. The only disappointment was that there was only one bathroom. We did have two balconies though, which was nice. The double room was recently redone, and was very nice.

The meals provided were delicious. Breakfast and lunch were buffet style, with yogurts, cereals, meats, cheeses, breads. Pastas, salads and seafood for lunch. Dinner was a proper menu with two courses and dessert.

The staff was always prompt and courteous, helpful and pleasant.

Upon checkin, we were given assigned beach chairs (free with umbrellas) and we would suggest that you request your location, as the ones randomly handed out might not be advantageous (i.e. we needed chairs close to the water to keep an eye on our children) but were assigned chairs near the boardwalk.

Their website states that a 5 euro charge will be assigned for the use of the lounge chairs near the pool, but we didn't see anyone being approached regarding that. We did have to purchase "rented towels" from the hotel for 2 euro per day (each).

Free wireless was hassle-free and there is an elevator inside the hotel.
Very quaint, comfortable and pleasant stay!

“Excellent hotel with great atmosphere!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 July 2011

With a family of four persons, the Byron Bellavista met all our dreams. The food, staff and the aircondition at the room. Excellent! The beach was great, so was the pool area as well. This is where you should live if you are looking for a great value for you money with a personal touch.

“Great view!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 July 2008

We stayed here at the end of the summer season 2006. We really enjoyed it: the staff were very friendly and helpful on the desk, the hotel was clean and spacious. I think we were the only English people staying here at the time (which we liked!)
The private beach area was large compared to the space other hotels had further up the strip.
Jesolo is an excellent place to stay if you want to visit Venice and its surrounding islands (we went to Murano and Burano) as it allows you to go sightseeing some days if you feel energetic and lounge around the pool or beach if you want a lazy day.
The only criticism we had was the choice at breakfast... either doughnuts or skinny german sausage with plastic egg (??)
Overall, we would highly recommend Hotel Byron Bellavista!

“A very good stay at Byron Bellavista”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 July 2008

We are a family of 12 and we arrived hotel Byron Bellavista after having spent a week on a cruise, so we were abit afraid that a week on a hotel would not be able to messure up to the cruise, but we were wrong. Byron Bellavista is a hotel we are very happy to recommend. The beach was great, the pool was great too.

The surroundings of the hotel were beautiful, a peaceful place to stay. The reception was stylish and classy.

Some of the rooms were very good looking, some were OK. make sure that you get a terrace that has two chairs.

The food was excellent, but some of the waiters did not speak english, so it wasn't always easy if you had questions considering the meny. However, the waiters were amazing. Positive and efficiant. The dinner is a la carte, but you can choose between five different alternatives.it tasted very good, but maybe not suitable for the picky children. It is however posstible to ask for a plate of french fries etc. Prices on drinks were also very good. The outdoor breakfast and lunch were excellent also, it was very nice being outside eating. Beautiful surroundings.

i am sure we wil be back at hotel byron bellavista some day.
