Jesolo is a low cost family destination, so it is to be expected that hotels are generally on a lower level than on other, more upscale resorts.
That said, while there is some visible effort to turn the Byron Bellavista into a four star establishment, those efforts mostly fail. First of all, the building is clearly not up to the task, and was probably built with a three stars at most in mind. Rooms are way too small, and so is the pool area, that incidentally also serves as breakfast and lunch area. There is a severe lack of other common spaces, e.g. no place for children to play, so they end up roaming around the bar and other "adult" spaces.
Many parts of the hotel are very old and serviced badly, there is lots of duct tape everywhere. We spent lot of time in front of the only elevator, which was often monopolized by the room service staff.
Room service is so so. Visible parts are cleaned well enough, but just look under the bed and on closets, and you will notice abundant dust and worse.
The hotel is full of stairs, so not recommended to wheelchairs or kid buggies.
Restaurant service is acceptable, although some staff members tend to forget your requests with alarming frequency.
Food is below average. While breakfast is acceptable, with a good buffet, at lunch a buffet is served, which is the same every single day. At dinner the same buffet is offered again, plus a menu with three different choices, which are not too bad.
All in all, I would not recommend the hotel to anyone. The only plus is that it is relatively cheap compared to other 4stars in Jesolo.
